   I’m gluten-free. I heard about the fish & chips being served at the Carmel location on Fridays during lent. I was excited to hear this meal was gluten-free as I haven’t had battered fish since transitioning to a GF life a few years ago. The coating was crisp which I was pleased with as many GF items that replicate non- GF items are soggy. However, the taste was bland. Where were the seasonings??? Additionally, I had Brussels sprouts. I liked the Brussels sprouts better at the Indy location. The cider flight was delicious.

   We were a group of 6 and seated near another group in a similar area of the restaurant, whereas the restaurant dining area wasn’t full. So this compact seating made for higher-than-necessary noise levels. Additionally, they were out of food for several menu items, which was unfortunate as it impacted our group in 2/6 guests.

   Great service! Ambience was very meh. Need to brighten it up with art. Food was very weak. Appreciate all of the gf options but our meals were very so so

   They were out of two of the ciders and three of the meals. Not well managed for a Friday night. Bummer because I had high hopes. Waitress was great and food was fast but was not anything spectacular, it was just okay. Ciders were good but there are a lot of great choices for good beer in the area with much better food.

    Ash and Elm didn’t have many menu items available. Also, vegetables weren’t prepped and ready for the 5:00 patrons, so no side vegetable orders allowed. Rice in the rice bowl was undercooked, this partially hard and crunchy. Waitress was pleasant. Restaurant was clean. Overall, disappointing.
