   This was our second visit to the Ashmolean Rooftop Restaurant for Afternoon Tea on Mother’s Day. It was a lovely, sunny afternoon and we sat outside. There were 5 of us (4 Mums). 4 of us decided to have a glass of Prosecco when we arrived, tea/coffee to follow (with our Teas). We had all finished our Teas before we were able to catch the eye of a waiter to ask for our tea/coffee. 1 of us then asked for another Prosecco but it never arrived. We left, without realising that we had been charged for the extra Prosecco, and were told to wait for our gifts. We weren’t expecting anything but the waiter never returned and a waitress spotted us leaving and came over with a gift that was left over for 1 of our party. The Teas were very nice and it was a lovely, sunny day but we were rather disappointed with the service.

   Delicious food away from all the hustle and bustle of the tourists. We went at about 1.30pm on a Sunday in March and it was only about half full. I was given a complimentary glass of prosecco as it was my birthday and we sat outside as it was mild enough. Would highly recommend.

   Everything was really good except the noise level. I am very deaf and it was hard work to hear what my companion said. Let’s hope it’s warm enough to sit outside next time.

   We had to wait more than 35 minutes after ordering for our food to arrive. This was unacceptable.
