Au Comptoir is a Parisian cafe with influences from its West coast setting. The restaurant's name is actually a reference to a popular style of dining in France. Au Comptoir translates to "at the counter" and is a fun and relaxing communal style of dining that can refer to anything from drinking a cappuccino or wine with friends to enjoying a full dinner on a casual date night. Au Comptoir is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner every day of the week with the exception of Tuesday. Some of the delicous breakfast options include a croque monsieur, croque madame and the signature assiette Au Comptoir that comes with an oeuf cocotte, house-made sausage, bacon, country bread and a potato rosti. For later in the day, diners can try some of the lunch and dinner specialties like the magret de canard or a classic steak frites.

Love this French Bistro for its great tasting food, great service, noise level isn’t too loud to carry-on dining conversation, and ideal location for friends to meet up!

Wonderful French restaurant in the heart of Kits - the closest one can get to France without leaving Canada. Everything on their menu is delicious and presented in an appealing manner. Staff are friendly, and attentive without being intrusive. Delighted to discover that they’re now open on Monday’s and that they take dinner reservations; although I’m not sure whether lunch reservations are available.

We ordered the salmon and it was cooked to perfection. I might’ve preferred fingerling potatoes as the starch rather than pasta but I appreciate that that would add cost to the dish. It was delicious regardless. The service was great and the room was so much like Paris. Thank you.

Always a wonderful experience at Au Comptoire. The duck melts in your mouth, the fois gras the best in the city, and the wine pairs perfectly with every dish.

4 for dinner. Everyone enjoyed the food but one person. My Cassolet was really terrific, as were the soup, the salads and the Salmon. Great atmosphere. Terrific waiter. Lorne

Delicious food and wine. Quaint Parisian ambiance. Thoroughly enjoyed our evening. Service was excellent but a little slow at the beginning.

Kind of perfect beautiful night with great food a beautiful environment. I have a dear friend leaving for Europe and my wife and I really was happy with our choice of restaurant.. Really wonderful and delicious food . Merci beaucoup ❤️🙏
