   We ordered a bottle of wine that arrived promptly and then we waited for our appetizers to arrive. Our entrees were delivered to us and we waited and waited for the bottle of wine we’d ordered well in advance. Clearly the flow of food and beverage is not coordinated and disrupts the experience. My partner’s $32 fish entree was so small I thought it was an appetizer; it was laughable. Overall not a good value at all. I dine better at home.

   The cocktails, food , and ambience were excellent. The service was pleasant and thoughtful . But one wonders if the restaurant is slightly understaffed , as the waiter disappeared several times , and had to be flagged-down to request bread to accompany the delicious mussels, order a glass of wine to accompany the perfectly cooked scallops and duck confit , etc.

   We had a really delicious dinner at Augie’s for our anniversary. I especially recommend the salade lyonnaise - so yummy! Very warm and attentive service. The upstairs seating area was pretty noisy and somewhat cold, however. We will definitely try Augie’s again, as the food was wonderful.

Our server, Ben, provided impeccable service—attentive, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. His recommendations were spot-on, elevating our dining experience to new heights. The culinary artistry at Augie’s was phenomenal. Every dish showcased a perfect balance of traditional French flavors and modern creativity, leaving us savoring every bite. From start to finish, the meal was a celebration of exceptional taste and quality. As longtime fans of the Stark restaurants, Augie’s has only deepened our admiration for their unwavering commitment to excellence.    The ambiance at Augie’s is lovely, and the service was excellent. However, we were extremely disappointed by the long wait for our entrees, which arrived barely warm. It was evident that they had been left under heat lamps for far too long. We were hungry and chose not to complain at the time, but this experience was unacceptable for all five of us.

   The difference niner was simply fantastic! We had the scallops for a starter, endive salad( amazing) and mussels and boudin Blanc. Our waiter was not very engaging so that was disappointing. The hostess was superb so she made up for him. Overall great dinner but our server was average otherwise I would have left a bigger tipping

   Our table enjoyed the dishes we had: scallop appetizer, French onion soup,salmon, steak and frites and beef bourguignon. The wines on the other hand were disappointing at best.

   Too much salt on everything!, even the chocolate mousse! Over half of your audience is over 50! Two sauces for the steak frites was absurd when I asked for bernaise my steak was in a red wine reduction. With bernaise on the side! French I think not! But on the positives the steak was cooked to perfection!

   Finally a fabulous place to eat in Santa Rosa. I just wish we had found it sooner. Everything about this restaurant is superb, a true dining from the interior design , to the attentive waiters and finally the food. Ah the food, So hard to chose from a menu filled with French specialties. We ordered the snails, perfectly cooked with herbs and butter. the country pate, one of the best I have ever had, endive salad, pears, cheese, in a wonderful vinaigrette. Our entrees, sausage, succulent and flavorful and duck confit, rich and hearty. Our wines that we chose were all tasty and priced very well. One of the best meals we have had in a long time

    I had a delightful lunch with my granddaughter on a rainy afternoon. The onion soup and gnocchi were perfect.
