Our family enjoyed a lovely meal at Avec. The Black Cod Tagine was delicious. Service was attentive and helpful with determining how many tapas to order for our party.

Had a wonderful time and all of the food was outstanding and the cocktails did not dissapoint! We had hummus, the whole fish, the tagliatelle pasta dish, and burnt honey profiterole for dessert.

What a wonderful lunch we had at avec River North today! Of course the dates were amazing, but we knew that. The calamari was perfectly cooked, and the tabbouleh was full of flavor. The focaccia with taleggio cheese, truffle oil and fresh herbs was so much more delicious than I expected it to be. The service was outstanding! Our server was thoughtful, informed, gracious, and fun. My friends were in town for a wedding, so he even brought us spiced plum sorbet for dessert to finish out the meal. They loved it!

The food was amazing, service, and host were top notch. Little disappointed by the cocktails to be very honest. It didn't feel like it was at the same level as the food.

Amazing birthday evening at Avec. Beautiful ambience on a quiet snowy night. The persimmon negroni was one of a kind. The fried Spanish octopus is a must and the branzino's crisp flaky skin and tender meat topped off the night. Thank you Kate and Nikki for a wonderful night.

My partner and I came to Avec for an anniversary dinner and it did NOT disappoint! We each got a cocktail and then ordered four dishes to share (the endive and apple salad, the short rib hummus, the campanelli, and the lamb kefta calzone). Each was INCREDIBLE, but the short rib hummus was 100% the show stopper (i'd come back just to eat that!) The portion sizes were also good for the value. The restaurant itself was beautiful and had such lovely ambience. I will say that we did not receive any sort of "anniversary" benefit - usually restaurants will throw in like an extra something if it's a special occasion, not sure if that's the case at Avec! But either way, we had an absolutely wonderful time and will be coming back.
