Aye Eat is a hidden gem in Inverness that confirmed why I've fallen in love with this city! Every bite was a revelation. The scotch eggs had a perfectly crisp exterior and a delightfully runny yolk. The soup of the day, bursting with flavor, warmed us right up. The mussels were incredibly fresh and cooked to perfection. And to top it all off, the Christmas dessert paired with mulled wine was a festive delight. What truly elevated the experience, however, was the fantastic service. Nina and Kieran were the epitome of hospitality – friendly, attentive, and genuinely funny. Their attempt to converse in French with my boyfriend added a special touch to the charming atmosphere. Kieran, consider this a friendly challenge – next time, I expect a rendition of the Greek 🇬🇷 anthem to complete the experience! We can't wait to return!

Very disappointed with food,we had a Greek friend with us n a tour of Scotland and he was looking for Scottish cuisine. Four items on the menu were not available, I ordered Cullen Skink as a starter ,found this to be tasteless. Like a bowl of lukewarm cream with added herbs, very little smoked fish, this is what this dish is all about. My main course was Stovies, reasonably tasty but again lukewarm . The other two main courses were the Balmoral burger again served lukewarm and not good value at £17.

Excellent, fun Scottish-themed restaurant that was very welcoming for our family of four. We had mains only as arrived a little later than expected, and all were delicious. My wife had the Raspberry Rebel special cocktail, which was very much enjoyed. Soft drinks for the kids and I were reasonably priced. The staff gave us a warm welcome, made sure we had everything we needed, and were very friendly: the kids loved their Nessie keepsakes. We’ll definitely make a return visit and no hesitation recommending a visit.

First time visiting and unfortunately wouldn’t rush back. Service was lovely and the venue nicely decorated but food wasn’t great. Expensive for what we had and not value for money compared to other Inverness restaurants

Loved our meal last nite. Menu was superb and cocktail equally so. Staff were great and menu knowledge was fantastic. A great eating experience and wish we had one in Glasgow.

I really like this place as it has a very friendly feel and the owner clearly made an effort with the decorations. Food is good, lots of Scottish recipes. We went on Saturday before Halloween and the kids got a bag with sweets and toy and were over the moon.

Hi Anna, Thanks for the great review! We just finished our Halloween menu, and we were sure to giveaway lots of goodie bags to all the children who came in for our Halloween menu! Hope to see you again soon!

Absolutely fantastic. Everything from start to finish was excellent. The service was spot on, the speed of service was excellent. I loved the recommended cocktail. The atmosphere and the decor I just loved. It's a great place to go to try hearty Scottish food. The only difficult thing to do was making a decision on what dish to have! I'll definitely have to come back and work my way through the menu, there's nothing I wouldn't have. Thanks so much. Inverness is a beautiful city but this place is the reason I'll be back to visit.. ❤️

Nice restaurant with friendly and welcoming staff. Good food choice - the fish and chips was to die for, the crispiest batter I’ve ever had!
