   This is my second time coming here. First time was great, no issues. Second time I was very disappointed. I made a reservation and arrived to see all the tables full. It’s a really small space and we had to wait about 25 minutes before being seated. It’s clear they take any amount of reservations regardless of how busy it is. It’s a popular space so reservations are essentially useless if you just get added to the queue when you arrive. The food took about 45-50 minutes to arrive after we placed the order, which for such a small space seemed like a lot. The food was very good, but the experience wasn’t great today and if this is how it is every other time I come in, I’m disappointed.

   I am a regular guest. Absolutely love the food and the staff is really nice. The food today was a little off, I got the granola bowl and it was just kind of sad. I wish they would use real granola or maybe something local instead of crushed up natures valley bar. And if you’re only going to give someone just two strawberries, they need to be really really fresh. Again, I’m a regular and I love coming there. Just wanted to give you a little bit of feedback because I don’t think most regulars do. Thanks for always being sweet and professional!

   Great experience. I didn’t care for our particular sitting near the kitchen but, aside from that everything was great! The service, food delicious cooked to perfection, mimosa yummy that lavender was my favorite and my husband preferred the strawberry. It’s a 10/10 full experience brunch for two $100 can’t beat!

   Babo is a charming spot for breakfast and brunch with delicious food and wonderful service! From the moment we sat down, Tina, our waitress, made us feel right at home. She was attentive, friendly, and ensured we had everything we needed. Despite being busy, we didn’t wait long at all, which is a big plus for a quality breakfast. The food was excellent—clearly made with fresh ingredients and a lot of care. I’d definitely come back for the flavors alone! The only thing I’d suggest is a bit of an update to the seating and ambiance. The booth fabric could use some attention or replacement with something easier to clean, as it looked a bit worn. There was also a slight hint of a sewer smell that was noticeable; I think a few updates could really elevate the space and make it even more inviting. Overall, Babo is a great spot for brunch, and with a few minor changes, it could be perfect!

   Our reservation was for noon on Sunday, and we arrived about 10 minutes early. We were seated right away. A server approached us very shortly with water and asked if we wanted anything to drink. I ordered some the crème brûlée French toast and my DIL ordered the Italian sub. The toast was one of the best things I’ve EVER eaten. It’s served with fresh strawberries and blueberries with whipped cream on the side. The syrup is served in its own condiment cup. This French toast was LARGE, and had a lovely crunch. I think they use a torch to crystallize it, and it is wonderful! My DIL loved her sandwich. We both took leftovers home. I’ve been here several times, and it never disappoints.

   As always, the experience at Babo was absolutely fantastic! After my first meal there a few years ago it immediately became one of my favorite spots. I have recommended and taken quite a few family and friends since then and the food is always guaranteed fresh, flavorful, and delicious! The atmosphere is comfy and the weight staff is super, kind, joyful, and knowledgeable. I continue to highly recommend it. It's a Detroit gem!
