   We went to bam bam for lunch on our first day on the island. We had the soft shell crab sando and chips (fries). The chips were insanely good and came with ketchup. I thought the sando was also really good but my husband didn’t love it as much. We went for dinner the next night and had the alcoholic ginger beer which was great. We also had the tuna tartare (6/10), the pad Thai (9/10 so good but the tofu was not cooked well) and the hibachi beef (6.5/10). Service was good and we liked it overall!

   Firstly … dinner on an island!! What could be better especially Hayman a huge favourite. Atmosphere brilliant menu wast interesting, variety great. Food/s taste delicious, very generous size and my lobster 🦞 delicious . Hubby’s duck 🦆 curry mouthwatering good. Service staff 💯 % perfect, curious, friendly, knowledgeable and all with a genuine smile. Thank you Bam Bam … definitely back asap.

   Captive patrons - definitely need to have reservations! Seating and tables uncomfortable. Service very harried and overworked - half our dishes never arrived. What did arrive was good - fried rice, minced chicken in lettuce, pass on the yakitori. Make an early reservation if you can (service and chefs more fresh) and be prepared for a lot of children.

   Unfortunately the service was very poor ,the person who took our order did not return until chased down as to the reason only 1 meal turned up ? Asked for some more tap water once again never happened and lastly waited 20 minutes to order dessert but never came back so I went to the counter and paid the bill and left. NOT value for money sadly considering the venue and the clientele. Observation ,pleasant staff but need guidance on hospitality procedures which is a reflection of the person in charge of staff.

   Bam Bam was great. The hardest decision was what to choose from the great options available. The sweet and sour chicken and prawn and crab sticks were our choices and they were both awesome Mains we had the hibachi lemongrass beef and the hibachi chick in a coconut sauce. With a side of fried rice. So delicious. Hard to choose a favorite. As with everywhere you go on Hayman Island the service was fantastic. Desert we had the kafir lime cheesecake with the best shortbread I’ve ever had. Then we had the coconut pannacotta that was served in a coconut. Just awesome. Highly recommend.
