Built in the old plantation style with shingled walls and wooden shutters, Bananas exudes character and style and is full of shabby chic touches, iron day beds, ornate chandeliers hanging down from rustic galvanised roofing and Nevis stone flooring.

Banana’s was probably the best meal we had on Nevis. The ambiance is amazing and the staff was so courteous. Even the chef came out to tell us a recipe for a salad that was served.

This place is incredible and the owner is a special lady!! If you get a chance to meet her you should. Great food and an even better environment. Everyone in our group loved their meal. The desserts were also delicious. The service was personable. Such a special memory from our trip to Nevis!!! *call the restaurant as they were having some challenges with open table reservations coming through. They will be happy to help.

Sadly, I have to base my rating having not had the opportunity to eat there. I made a reservation through Open Table, received a confirmation of the reservation and received another the day of the booking. Paid for a taxi to the restaurant only to find out they were closed. They never even bothered to let us know.

Beautiful spot, with amazing torch-lit gardens, and a sunset view from the first floor bar area. Food is good, one of the best places we ate on the island - but more comfort food than haute cuisine. Great atmosphere, was pretty lively one night we were thee with a live band, and packed, another night it was a bit quieter, but still buzzy. Dishes are a bit large if anything, we were only able to manage two courses.

This restaurant is definitely a hidden gem. Everything was magical. Their website definitely doesn’t do their restaurant justice!

Second visit to Bananas. It has a great ambience in the lush hills above Charlestown. The service was friendly and attentive (we were greeted when we arrived by taxi). The owner spent time with us as well. All in all, a very pleasant experience.

A lovely porch setting in an island home was just perfect for our first night on the island! The food & service was exceptional too ! Highly recommend for a quiet romantic evening … Nevis style!
