This is our second visit to Bar Bouchée and we will be back both visits were outstanding! Food, ambiance and service was a 10! It’s so quaint and very romantic! Excellent drinks and wine selection! Very knowledgeable waiter! My husband and I had the Bar Bouchée salad which was ample and tasted delicious and my sister in law had the Belgium Endive Salad which she raved about, for the main course my husband and sister in law both ordered the Chicken Vol Au Vent and they could not get over how good it was! I had the Icelandic Cod with the leek and potato fondue which was off the charts! Can not say enough good about this little gem in Madison! You got everything right!

Dinner for two. Mushrooms tart, endive and pear salad, trout amandine, vegetarian Alsatian Fleischschnecka, and chocolate Bouchée. Fabulous flavors, excellent service, friendly neighborhood vibe. Well worth a trip.

Server was delightful, explained everything and the specials of the day. Mushroom soup was creamy and delicious. Trout Almandine was moist and well flavored, dauphinois potatoes & haricot verts crisp. Coq au Vin was over cooked and dry unfortunately but the sauce and veggies tasty. They kindly made an Afogato for dessert which was great.

not good. Use to be. Shepards pie ...with no meat? And so on. And the skimpiest wine poor on the CT sound!

We were extremely excited to try this place but it disappointed in many ways. The first was the bread served which was extremely hard and most likely stale. We ordered the mussel appetizer which had a very tasty sauce but came out cold. We couldn't get a hold of our server(bartender) and asked the manager to warm up. He brought them back cold again and no-one bothered to make sure they were warm enough the second time. I ordered the prime Bavette which was a tiny piece of steak but found it impossible to cut it was so tough. The I may of eaten two bites. The french fries were great. The food is a bit pricey so it was very disappointing. Cute restaurant and would of loved to have a local restaurant as a go to.

The place was cozy intimate. Ate at the bar and the steak and mussels were delicious. Bartender was very knowledgeable of wines and the drinks were outstanding.
