The Hotel Fauchere features three dining venues. Our elegantly-appointed Delmonico Room with its vintage Hudson River School paintings, piano and light-filled sunroom, our Bar Louis, with cozy booths, a contemporary vibe and the famous gigantic photograph of Andy Warhol and John Lennon behind the bar and our heated front porch with awnings and wind break curtains . Please note venue preference, if you have one, and we will accommodate as we are able (not all venues are open at all times). The restaurant pays homage to our founder, Louis Fauchere, who began working as a master chef at Delmonico's in New York City in 1848. He opened the Fauchere in 1852 and it was run by his descendants for 124 years. We look forward to welcoming you.

Our drinks were delicious! We had oysters, sushi pizza and deviled eggs as an appetizer. All were delicious! Our main courses were Delmonico steak and Duck. Both were unbelievably super delicious and cooked to perfection. Chris was our server and he was so amazing! Never had to ask for anything, he was on top of it all. It was such a great night ! Perfect way to celebrate our Anniversary!

Nice enough place, service was okay. Food was way overpriced. We had the 3 course Valentines dinner and it was definitely not worth the $75 per person price. Took them an hour to give us our main course, Food portions were too small and not cooked properly. Filet mignon was dry and lobster was undercooked. Dessert looked like it was bought from the frozen aisle.

Despite the courtesy exhibited by the front-of-house staff, they appeared overwhelmed by the sheer number of complaints lodged by other guests, primarily concerning extended wait times for food and beverages, inadequate stocks of silverware and glassware, thus resulting in a notably subpar experience. Furthermore, the food presented failed to meet my expectations and exhibited noticeable inconsistencies with the online menu descriptions.

I can’t remember ever leaving a one star review on OpenTable. The bar was running way behind the kitchen and other guests were receiving their appetizers before they had drinks. My Smoked Old Fashioned never saw a wisp of smoke. Apps were Ricotta Gnudi and Tuna Tartare, they came out quickly and prepared correctly. Next, the Filet Mignon (ordered chef recommended medium rare) and the Pan Seared Bass, which transformed from Chilean Bass on the online menu. The server assured me that it was Chilean Sea Bass. The filet was cooked past well done, no where near medium rare, and very tough. Looking around, it appeared that other guests who had ordered the filet were suffering the same fate. My entree was not Chilean Sea Bass, but some other overcooked piece of mild, white fish instead. After a whirlwind of apps and entrees, dessert took quite a while. The menu stated the dessert was a flourless chocolate cake dipped in dark chocolate and a cheesecake dipped in white chocolate. We had been watching couples each receiving their own portions of dessert all night. We received one portion to share. We questioned the server who said that it was a mistake and that guests should not have received their own dessert. The menu never mentioned that it was shared dessert. It was obvious the kitchen ran short and lied about it being a shared dessert. We had to wait for them to thaw more desserts from the freezer. They were both rock hard like the premade hockey pucks they resemble.
By now, wheels are falling the wagon. Diners behind us are complaining, the ‘cook’ or whoever he was, (there appeared to be no manager) is out near the restrooms arguing with some other guests. And a server walks out halfway through the night (she knew what was happening and was tired of taking the brunt of it). Hotel Fauchere used to be such a gem, not only in Milford, but all the Poconos. Unfortunately, it has now become a poorly run, over priced, restaurant that would prefer to lie to its guests.
