   Barncastle is my favorite restaurant in the Blue Hill area. Beautiful, delicious food with a warm welcome and attentive service. Thank you Lizzie and Owen for creating a such a fabulous environment. Highly recommended.

   Another excellent meal. The roast chicken is one of the best, perhaps the best, I have enjoyed. A generous pour on a very good Old Fashioned to start. I always sit at the bar and there is usually good conversation to be had. Lizzie the co—owner with her husband, worked the bar last night. Very enjoyable. I’ll be back.

   This was not our first visit to BarnCastle. We return again and again because of our good experiences in the past. Our meal was delicious, served with warmth and humor by Jenny who anticipated all our needs. BarnCastle provides fine dinning year round in a rural area where many restaurants close during the “off” season.

   Delicious menu of small plates & larger mains well prepared in a cozy wood-paneled dining room. Attentive service. Nice selection of ME beers and a variety of wines. We will be back!
