   wonderful neighborhood Italian restaurant . Great ambiance , appropriately priced with very good service . Very tasty and well prepared food specially the pastas. Should have had the Tiramisu for dessert, instead had the cheese cake which was mediocre.

   The perfect place for our group's meeting was near Grand Central. The food and service were wonderful, and the bar was cozy, too.

   Host was flexible in seating request. They had excellent gnocchi, good meat dishes, though special was more expensive than expected (should have asked price), and dessert was good, but not a souffle as listed by the waiter, more of a chocolate lava cake. Very busy, so fairly loud environment and slow service. Small, but nice bar at entrance.

   Food was mixed - some of our party enjoyed their plates more than others. Our waiter seemed very stressed and hurried. We had the last seating on New Year’s Eve and had planned on ringing in the new year with a toast at the restaurant but our waiter unceremoniously dropped our check on the table without offering us a drink or dessert. Guess it was time to go! We had to quickly find another location to celebrate the countdown. Disappointing end to our dinner.

   We had a great experience at Barolo East on New Year’s eve 24-25 in New York. The restaurant has a stylish and cosy atmosphere and setting. The food is great, the starters as well as the main courses and the desserts are delicious. The tiramisu is the best we ever ate and even better than some we tasted in Rome. The head of the restaurant creates a great welcoming atmosphere, and the waiter from Kosovo is the best waiter we had during our entire week in New York. Definitely a place to recommend to go to, if we come back to New York this restaurant will be in our top places to visit, and we’ll suggest it to friends and colleagues visiting New York !    Visited on NYE. Nice location, plenty of room, close to everything. Upscale Italian food. I had the fresh pasta with truffles and it was deliscious. Wife had veal on the bone, which was excellent and a very large portion. All the dishes were ample size and very good. Staff was very attentive and at least 3 different people checked with us at various times. Highly recommend.

    Food, service and atmosphere were all exceptional! Staff were friendly and attentive yet not overbearing. Portions were perfectly sized. I would definitely recommend Barolo East!
