    We had such a delightful, off-season dinner at Barringer‘s tonight. Our crabby kids were even over the moon with their kids meals. Some of the best cocktails in Door County and the wine list is award worthy. A must visit!

    Went there for dinner on a Saturday night, had an 8:30pm reservation. We were seated on time. The atmosphere was very intimate and quiet. Drinks came quickly and so did our food. The ribeye steak was cooked perfectly. The lobster roll was delicious. 2 drinks, steak dinner, lobster roll dinner, mac and cheese side and 2 desserts for $140, well worth it!!! Will be back.

    My husband and I each had a cup of chicken soup and the fried chicken. The food was excellent. There aren’t many restaurants that still serve fried chicken so it was nice to have the option. The portions were generous and nicely breaded. We finished the night with dessert - carrot cake and a chocolate cherry sundae. Service was also well paced and very friendly. We’ll be back again.

    The food was excellent! The crabcakes are very large, enough for 2. The truffle fries are good, but very rich. Nice taste of the truffles? The salmon dish my companion ate was very good. She raved abut it and the rood vegetables served with it. We were pleased by how friendly everyone treated us, except for our server. I would cut him some slack because it was an 8:15 pm reservation, and I ‘m sure he was tired. However, we could have been given a few smiles and conversation! I have eaten at Barringer’s and would definitely go back!

    The Beef Stroganoff is delicious and always a favorite. I had the evening special, French Battered Turbot. It was beautifully plated and delicious. The carrots and asparagus were al dente and perfectly crisp. Accompanying lemon beurre blanc sauce with mushrooms and capers was well seasoned and didn’t overwhelm the dish. Now…those fingerling potatoes….were hard and cold and did no justice to this otherwise delicious dish. I pushed them aside and pretended they weren’t there!
