   Glad we found this place. The food and cocktails were amazing as was the friendly service. We were there for a late lunch so towards the end the main was taking a fairly long time. In all fairness to them they may have been giving us time to digest all the food we already had. $49 for 5 or 6 courses. Delicious!

   We always love dining at Bart Jr. has a bit of a community feel to it. Food as always is delicious. So loved it. The potato manchego fritters, kingfish crudo and the prawn pea risotto were my favorites

   I do love Bart Jr. but the staff just don’t smile like they once use to. Honestly Bart use to be full of smiling staff, not these days. Also service just lacking… I had to pile plates up for someone to take them away after around 30 minutes. Food and cocktails are always great - it’s the reason I go back.

   I arrived for my booking 5 mins ahead of the confirmed time of 6pm. Despite having a confirmation that clearly stated “table” and “inside”, my reserved table was given to guest who arrived just before me with no booking and I was offered a stool at the bar crammed into the corner which the guest before me had turned down - a stool at a bar in a crammed corner is not a “table”. I was then told by a very rude man that their website states all seating is flexible and is allocated on a first in first served basis and best to arrive early - so why take bookings?? and I was early. Essentially i was lied to as the website states walk-ins will be seated on arrival, not guests holding confirmed reservations and I held a confirmation clearly stating the booked seating preference that was clearly not going to be honoured. I was offered no apology and told a table outside was the only option (which the website states is reserved specifically for walk-ins), despite empty tables inside that could have been offered if in fact his theory of “first in first served” was applied. The outside table was not what I had booked and we were barely offered any service after being seated. After many, many pleasant dining experiences at this restaurant, sadly I think last night will be my last given the way they now treat customers.

   Great food, really enjoyed the chef’s choice menu (which frequently changes for a nice variety), great cocktails and friendly service. Would definitely recommend and go back

   I really like visiting Bart: Jr. Food is always brilliant, service this time was more personal (staff don’t usually smile much these days) but our waitress did, and was great. We sat outside, I wouldn’t recommend it for only two reasons, cigarette smoke from people walking past / standing a few doors down which Bart Jr. can’t avoid…. Plus homeless locals constantly walking up for money etc, tables actually relocated indoors. Again, not the restaurants problem, just something to consider next time you book or visit.

    Gorgeous cocktails and delicious food! The Chef's Choice menu on Wednesdays is a total steal and tons of food. Would love to go back and try the full tasting menu next time.
