    Went to Baru for a ladies only birthday dinner and invited a friend who has never been to Baru yet so I was excited for her to try it since I love it already. Noticed there were changes to the menu since I had been here in the Fall which is always nice to see that it is being kept updated! Tried a few new dishes and was so happy I did! New favorite, Crispy Rice Spicy Tuna! The mix of the crispy warm rice with the fresh and cold tuna tartare was magical! Espresso martinis always a hit! Great food, service was a bit slower than usual so luckily we weren’t in a hurry and enjoyed the slower pace. Will be back again soon!

    We chose to sit at the sushi counter because we thought it would be fun to be able to see the sushi being prepared, however you can’t actually see over the counter at all. This was the only miss for us as it then just felt like sitting at a bar. Had we known, we would have just opted for a normal table. Everything else was fabulous! Food was delicious and fresh, our server was attentive and friendly, and everything came out very fast. We would absolutely return!

    Second time eating at Baru, food was delicious- all courses. We really enjoy this restaurant. The ambiance is quite nice with a modern, vibrant yet comfortable space. Will definitely be back.

    Server was watching “the game” on his phone and not paying attention to guests. Dumped my Martini before asking if I was done. I also ordered sparkling water which he had to go and check to see if Baru even served sparkling water. Then he came back and tried to talk me out of ordering it because “Bro, it’s $8. For water!”

    Great experience! Chef inspired dishes were delicious from the small plates to the rolls. Service was good and prior to dining, our bartender, Jacob was a wealth of knowledge on the menu.
