Sourcing premium meats from renowned purveyors like UT 47, Heritage Wagyu, and Creekstone Farms, Basalt’s signature offerings include Mesquite Wood-Grilled steaks, a 42-Ounce Tomahawk, and the indulgent tableside Beef Tartare. Each dish is carefully crafted, from Beef Tallow Fries to Milk Bread with Garlic and Herbs, ensuring a memorable culinary adventure.

    We came for Christmas dinner and ordered the pre-fixe course meal. It’s very nice and quiet - there were only a few other tables occupied that night. It’s a little hard to find as it’s in a resort under constructions with dim lighting and no signs indicating where restaurant is located. We decided on the pre fixe meal, and after ordering found out many of the items on that menu they had run out of. In the middle of being served we had to make alternate selections off the regular menu - yet we were still charged the special menu prices. We could have just ordered off the regular menu to begin with and saved the disappointment, mid meal interruptions, and hefty price tag for items we didn’t particularly want. After the third item they had run out of, all we could do was laugh. We didn’t get a visit or apology from a manager which I would expect from a newly opened high end steakhouse. I felt bad for our server who had to keep delivering bad news throughout the meal, but I appreciate her professionalism and doing her best - she was lovely. I do regret choosing this restaurant for a special occasion and wouldn’t recommend for that in particular, however to be fair they are new and have a lot of kinks to work out so I can see its potential. I will say the staff was incredibly friendly and were really great - I appreciated all their efforts. Most of the food we ordered was really flavorful, but filet was just ok. The sea bass however was excellent- cooked perfectly with crisp outside and moist inside. We also enjoyed some of the sides like the potatoes. The dessert they came back twice on as each item we ordered kept running out. I’d definitely skip - they were just ok and not worth the calorie’s except perhaps the cream brûlée.

    A beautiful evening ! The views are incredible, and furnishings are high quailty. The servers were professional, and friendly. Great ambiance. A wonderful addition to the fine dining category in St George

    Went for the dine in Christmas dinner. The staff was great, just slow to acknowledge us after sitting down. It took a good 10 min before anyone came with water or to take our order. We partook in the scheduled 5 course meal. I did not like the fact I had to do my sides family style. I am not a food sharer with anyone, but my husband. There was no drink option, but water unless you paid extra.I would think a soda would have been included for 95 dollars a plate. The food was good. The suggestion I would have is to do an event like this again to offer a sugar-free desert option. There are a lot of people who can not eat sugar for many reasons. Overall, it was a perfect way to spend Christmas.

    We decided to try Basalt for our Christmas Dinner this year and were not disappointed! From the moment you enter the restaurant, you are greeted by a lovely host and taken to your table. The staff was all very professional, friendly and eager to answer questions about the restaurant and the menu. All of our food choices were served to perfection! I believe we have found our new "favorite restaurant" in the St. George area!

    Party of four we had drinks, wedge salad and shared the “Basalt Experience“ which was an assortment of different steaks and sides. it was plenty of food for four, everything was delicious and we each had a different favorite. The atmosphere was luxurious and peaceful, the service was great, we had Tee as our server she was delightful.
