When the original Bascom came to Florida at the turn of the last century to help Henry Flagler build the Key West Railroad, he brought with him his love for thick cut chops and juicy steaks. During his travels he also discovered the bounties of fresh native Florida seafood.

We have brought all of his favorites together in a true American Chop House that pays tribute to Bascom's hearty appetite and a passion for great steaks, chops and fresh seafood.

In his honor, we have made Bascom's Chop House a comfortable, yet elegant, American restaurant. We are proud to offer a superbly crafted wine list and American Mid-Western beef, aged to our own exacting specifications to ensure the most tender and flavorful steaks served anywhere at any price. And, true to our Bascom's Chop House name, we also offer hand-cut veal, pork and lamb chops all prepared to perfection, as well as a great selection of native seafood delivered fresh daily.

    Kim was our server and was one one the most professional servers I have ever encountered. She made out first experience at Bascom's so much better.

    This is most definitely my favorite steakhouse in the Tampa Bay area. We had a table of 6 on the upper floor, where there was live music, but we could still hear each other. The red Sangria was awesome. The fried lobster tail (my personal favorite) and shrimp cocktail (huge, tasty shrimp) appetizers were phenomenal, as were our filet mignon, ribeye, and bread pudding dessert. Our server, “Will,” was attentive and very personable. Thank you, Bascom‘s, for another wonderful night of fine dining at its best. Everyone in our party loved it.

    Bascom’s is always good , service and food always on point. Great wine list and love the wine guy really knows his stuff . Bill our server was very good timed everything out perfectly . It is and will continue to be our go to place.

    The best part about the night was our sever Jarrod. The food was incredible, but Jarrod definitely was the highlight of the night with his excellent service. Thanks for making the night even better for me and my my girlfriend!
