    We attempted to dine here during our stay in Antigua. We arrived early, and had a drink on their lovely deck. Once we were seated at our table, the evening went steadily downhill from there. We placed our order from the menu presented to us. As we were waiting for our appetizers, we noticed another table had burgers— which were not on the menu. In response to our inquiry, we were told we should have asked for the lunch menu. Ok. What can you say in response to that? Do we have all the menus we can order off of? Oh well. After an hour, as other diners were seated and served entrees, we politely asked the status of our appetizers. They will be out in a minute. Ok. About 10 minutes later they were brought out. The fried calamari was the single worst calamari we have ever had. How hard is it to mess up fried food? Our friends’ coconut shrimp appetizer was some sort of shrimp cleverly disguised with sauce and a plantain base, totally devoid of coconut. Another hour passes. Where are our dinners? We politely ask the waiter what is going on in the kitchen with our entrees? He responds that he has no idea — he is not allowed in the kitchen. What? That obviously can’t be true. In any event, we wait another 15 minutes and decide that’s it, we’re done. It’s almost 10pm. The manager tried to make it right and said he had no idea what was going on. In any case, we left. Hungry and angry. Our cab driver Rodney took us for late night burgers and fries at Pita Pocket on the way back to our hotel since nothing else was open (which by the way was tasty late night fast food!). In sum, the service was awful and the little bit of food we did receive was tasteless. I don’t know if this was a one-off situation or not, but be warned!

    Engaging staff and interesting flavours on the menu but quite limited . More fish than meat . Chicken curry was very good , mahi was a little dry and needed a sauce. Lovely environment and quite romantic

    Service at the desk was not helpful. I called restaurant notifying that we are 5 minut late and they couldn’t locate our reservation and told us they don’t do business with OpenTable. They did bare minimum to find our reservation. Finally we’ve made a new one.

    Sorry to say that we had a terrible 2.5hr ordeal at The Bay House due to slow service. Given it was Christmas Day and the restaurant wasnt busy it baffles me that we had a 25 minute wait to finally get a waiter to take our order. The menu itself was a Christmas Special but this is where it all started to go horribly wrong. The waiter we had didn’t disclose that they had run out of key ingredients and that some dishes weren’t available. He took our order then reappeared 20 minutes later to say that he was sorry but that the chef wanted to substitute everything that had spinach in with Romain lettuce (goat cheese salad starter and a penne pasta main) we decided to cancel both and order alternatives. Between the revised starter order and some cocktails arriving they switched personnel and it became apparent that the 2 teams didn’t communicate as we had to wait another 20 minutes before our new waitress asked for orders again and I found out that the main dish I originally ordered wasn’t available. Out of our party of 5 2 decided to go with Lobster and 3 with steaks. We were approaching the 2 hour mark (without any explanation as to why we had been kept waiting) when another waitress appeared with the lobsters 1 with the wrong sides. My wife wanted fries (a 15 ECD extra) rather than rice. The waitress initially decided to take my wife’s lobster back to kitchen rather than just swap out for fries. To make matters worse the 3 steaks arrived and all 3 were well undercooked. We called for the supervisor and she agreed that the service had fallen short of expectations and she would compensate us by not charging for the steaks, then she disappeared. We then had our waitress present a bill that showed 2 steaks and a $50 service charge! I refused to pay for the steaks or for the bad service. The only positives are that the view is stunning and the cocktails were some of the best we’ve had but the lack of communication and poor service mean we won’t return which is a shame

    Tranquille en ce dimanche soir. Tables sur terrasse extérieure agréable mais sans vent pourrait être chaud et dérangée par les moustiques. Excellent plats de pâtes Choix de plats limités. Service un peu hésitant. Nourriture goûteuse et bien présentée. Bilan: très bon.

    Well it was a holiday. But 35 mins to get a glass of water? 105 mins to get a main dish?? A slow kitchen, yes, but servers were inattentive and forgetful. But the setting and views are beautiful and the food is good.
