   My husband and I made reservations and came early to watch sunset. We had a cocktail outside, which was great. I asked for the fans to be turned down because it was breezy, and they were beginning to light the firepits, but that never happened. We arrived for dinner, extremely slow service, the gentleman at the table next to us told us we needed to request bread, and the waitress told me” it’s not Olive Garden where we just bring you bread. When I told her I was not familiar with Olive Garden, she simply said they are like McDonald’s. We had 2 managers come over to apologize for the wait, and then we waited again. Finally our food showed up, Pirlau, for my husband and crawfish fettuccine for me. I asked the waitress where the crawfish was in the dish and she said it is ground up really fine so you can’t see it. The next day I got another phone call from a manager apologizing profusely again for the extremely long wait, and he did leave a number to call back, but we were occupied for most of the day. Not impressed at all, will not recommend to friends who are visiting the area, and won’t be back to another similar property in a long time.

   Other than the tables are too close together and neighboring peoples conversations are at your table the experience was good. The food was exceptional as was the view from our table to the bay. They are sanitizing everything which means a lot at this time. The wine list was excellent as well and the desserts looked amazing (we restrained from ordering) They must thin out the tables but we will go back again!!!

   The food was outstanding, the seafood was very incredibly fresh, the variety of foods was delightful, the music was superb, and the service was always with a smile. Can you tell we all had a fantastic experience?

   Seated us fast. Food was good. Didn’t quite get my order right but was good none the less. They were adjusting tables beside us for a larger group which got a bit loud.

    I was torn between a4 and a 5 for overall. I was a little taken aback at how casual the place was. As this is the Grand Hotel I was kind of expecting a bit classier atmosphere. It wasn’t BAD, don’t get me wrong. But I thought maybe some table linens might be in order. Especially fir Valentine’s Day, which was when we cane here. The service was most excellent and the food was very good. I had shrimp and grits and It had Cajun sausage in it too and was delicious. We ordered the crab dip appetizer and it didn’t disappoint. I also very much enjoyed the large helping of chocolate torte. The prices were very reasonable I thought. So really the only thing I thought was a little off was the atmosphere. Five stars.
