Please do something now about ventilation. Air purifiers? Redesign the air vac ? Regardless it was great to be back and the menu and execution are off to an excellent start

Food was excellent. We are local folk so have been hoping for a varied menu from years past but we enjoy each dish they have. We tend to avoid tourist season and favour this time of year so food always at its best at season opening.

I always love the creative cocktails and excellent food. It can be a bit noisy. One dinner companion had a tough time hearing our conversation tonight.

We came to the restaurant and it was closed for the season. We made this reservation a few months ago. We booked an airbnb specifically to come down to have dinner at this restaurant so I’m extremely disappointed that it was closed.

The quality of the dishes is amazing. We hosted dinner with friends who have never been and they were all raving about the food from Appy’s to dessert. The presentation of the food that they had not tried before - tuna tartare, grilled octopus was enjoyed by our whole table of 7. The staff are friendly and provide great service.

We've been going to Beach Pea for the three consecutive holiday seasons now. The last two years, it was absolutely fantastic — among the best meals we had all year, no question. The quality of the food, the service, and the ambience all combined for a terrific experience. Unfortunately, we felt the quality of the experience stumbled slightly. We ordered (for apps) the mussels in the tomato/harissa broth and the arancini with beef bolognese, and (for mains) the lobster tagliatelle and the scallops. The mussels were great, and the scallops were good — mostly because, as with previous years, the seafood here is pretty top-notch. The arancini was not bad, but it was one single gigantic arancini that felt like it sagged under its own weight even before cutting into it and finding the beef bolognese stuffed inside. It seemed awfully heavy for an appetizer, and the decent flavors were overwhelmed by the sheer amount of rice. The lobster tagliatelle was the most disappointing. It was described as Nova Scotia lobster, lemon, tarragon, parmigiano-reggiano, and cream — a perfectly indulgent pasta for a cold winter's night, we thought! — but apart from a healthy dose of tarragon, it really didn't taste like much. The lobster tasted as if it had been cooked twice. My partner and I were sharing everything, and we left the lobster largely untouched, which to my memory we've never done. Our server took the pasta away after asking our feedback, and then she graciously removed it from our tab. She couldn't have been nicer! Just to be clear: two out of our three experiences here have been amazing, and we will definitely be back. This might've just been an off-night during a busy holiday period. And the restaurant staff handled it all with generosity and grace.

Excellent as always! Service, food, cocktails…all so good. We remarked amongst the table the food/experience we had at the Beach Pea could rival any top tier place we’ve been in the world. It’s a gem, and we are lucky to have it in Lunenburg! Thank you for becoming an annual birthday tradition for our family. 💕
