   A lovely coffee shop with fantastic cakes and friendly staff. We had arranged to meet friends for a chat over coffee but found the music just a little too loud to hold a conversation.

   Hot drinks weren’t hot we asked for a hot chocolate extra hot and was only warm. It took 40 minutes for food to arrive and things were missing off one plate

   Recommend highly this place for brunch. 10 out of 10. Slightly disappointed they asked on booking if special occasion. Said Mikes birthday on 9th. Not mentioned.

   We booked a table for 3 but at short notice this changed to 5 and although not impressed with the increase in numbers as I advised them within 8 minutes including queueing to get in of me finding out a table was kindly provided They were very busy so we were lucky and ordered food asap knowing there was a 30 minute wait turned into 45 this gave us chance to catch up with family The noise level was quite high in a happy and vibrant way so an enjoyable place to be. Food was perfectly cooked and worth the wait. Full English with Halumi a GF full English breakfast, Poached eggs on sourdough and thick sourdough toast with jam Coffees were good. Tea good and fresh orange tasty. Staff were pleasant and welcoming after initial shock of extra persons added Good meal had with family so thank you.

   we went for breakfast on bank holiday Monday and it was a great start to the day. The poached eggs and sour dough toast stood out as being perfectly prepared and served. Everyone was friendly and seemed pleased to see us. The coffee was served in a different way which added to the experience.

   Thought we were heading to a quieter bistro type environment but it was a very loud cafe! The atmosphere was good, but the acoustics are terrible and the seating is very functional. However the food is EXCEPTIONAL and more than made up for the ambience. We had brunch and cocktails and it was simply perfect. Well cooked, high quality ingredients and presented beautifully. A little more thought into the seating layout and this place would be a little gem.

    Lovely cafe in Ashbourne with excellent coffee! On this occasion the food was not as good as we would have expected. The poached egg, although the yolk was over cooked the white was under cooked! Not sure what happened there! This was left on the plate! The extra bacon ordered was not crispy, so the rind was unpleasant to eat, I left this for my husband to eat! The staff were all friendly and attentive but we were not asked if we were or had enjoyed our meal. Would recommend but would specify exactly how we would like the food cooked.
