   I love the fried lobster and the oysters. They had a deonk spe ial with vodka but I can't rber the name. It was delicious. I love this place. The atmosphere is so intimate where we sat at. I will definitely come back again.

   This was my first visit to Becks via a recommendation from a client. I usually have one favorite restaurant here that I go to on special occasions because I am never disappointed, however, I decided to try somewhere new. This was a great experience! The food was great. The ambiance was a nice, vibe and the management and staff was attentive. I must say, now I have two favorite restaurants in Augusta.

   Made a reservation for 8:15 that was pre booked 3 weeks in advance, got seated at 8:45 because they were doing “first come first serve”, Waited 2 hours for our food. Not the servers or hostesses fault but they definitely overbooked themselves for Valentine’s Day. We just expected more from Becks especially considering how much our bill was

   *Valentine’s Day at Becks: A Bit of a Miss, But We’ll Be Back* We decided to try Becks for Valentine’s Day and made reservations for 8:15 PM. When we arrived, we were told that seating would be based on arrival order rather than our reservation time, which was fine. However, the crowd was massive, and there was nowhere to sit while waiting—so we ended up awkwardly hovering over guests who were already dining. Not ideal. Despite the chaos, we were seated around 8:35 PM, which wasn’t too bad. Our waitress, Manuela, was fantastic—attentive and friendly. Our appetizer arrived within eight minutes of ordering, which was impressive. We also placed our entrée orders at the same time. Fast forward to 10:00 PM—still no food. At that point, we decided to cut our losses and leave after paying for the appetizer. Somehow, there was a mix-up, and we were initially charged for the entrées we never received. Thankfully, Manuela quickly fixed the issue, and we weren’t charged for anything. The atmosphere at Becks was lovely, but Valentine’s Day was definitely not the night to give it a fair shot. We’ll be back, though—because I still have my eye on that grouper!

   Beck’s is a hidden gem. Chef Marcus is incredibly talented and the service was top notch. Best meal we’ve had in Augusta in years. We look forward to going back soon.

    Everything was wonderful except the noise level was a bit high tonight, but you know that can mean folks were enjoying themselves and some might have a bit more alcohol than others. But overall, it was good.
