They wouldn't seat you unless you have a full party there even if you have a reservation. We had to stand and wait at the very crowded entrance. Also, they have 3% surcharge on menu items.

Fabulous brunch and very good service! The staff were welcoming, friendly, and attentive. Our table had the smoked salmon omelette and bagels and lox. The omelettes were amazing with lots of flaked smoked salmon (just the right amount of smoke and saltiness) and a lovely herbed yogurt. Roasted potatoes were equally amazing. The bagel and lox was very good - served on an everything bagel with beautiful salmon and plenty of lovely cream cheese and capers. We will definitively be back!

Second time to Ben Paris, it wasn't as good as the first. The Halloumi and Hushpuppies were very good. The Octopus was chewy/overcooked and we sent it back. They were out of the fish special, but it was still on the board. The fried chicken was very good (best meal we had there), but the Mac N' Cheese that comes with it was kind of tasteless (no salt), and they do not put salt on the table. My friend had the NY Strip, which I thought was very tasty. My other friend had the short rib, which was good, but luke warm. Lastly my wife had the salmon, which was a bit fishy and again, lacking flavor, badly needed more salt and seasoning. The service was good, waitress was pleasant. Although I felt they wanted us to leave as we were the last ones in there (only 9:30 on a Sat night).

The food and the service were great. Our server Jake was very accommodating. My only problem was that I had to pay for an expensive dinner twice. Open table had charged my card earlier the day of our dinner which I thought was strange, so it was surprising when we received the check and the dinner was on there again. I was reassured that this was a hold on my card that would be processed and returned, however I felt this was very unprofessional and strange to charge twice for dinner and return one at a later date.

Went for the valentine’s menu. The steak was unevenly cooked, it was well on the outer fringe but bloody in the middle. It was served with some cream or gravy that turned pink with the blood. The salad and desert were ok, but overall the meal was very disappointing for a set menu night. Which is a surprise because I have been a patron of Ben Paris for years (hooked by the duck leg confit), so I expected much better. Needless to say my date was not very impressed.

This was probably one of the worst dining experiences I've had in ages. At the price of $85 per person: Salad - wilted/sad looking with uncooked "croutons" that seemed to have been forgotten to go into the oven. Scallop Risotto - no, it wasn't. The rice pilaf was dry, not risoto. And it was swimming in some canned tomato sauce with 4 little, insanely over cooked rubber scallops. Chocolate cake - took it home and didn't eat it. We had to go order food to take home, so we didn't want to spend any more time there. It's not usual that I actually wish I could ask for a full refund, but I would for this experience. The service was mixed - the guy running the food was angry to be there, but our server was chatty.

My spouse and I opted for the pre-fixe menu for Valentines Day priced at $85 a piece. We both started with the burrata panzella salad. The balsamic dressing made the taste very bitter, but interesting. My spouse opted for the sea scallop paella and I had the prime rib with beurre blanc sauce and broccolini. The paella was tasteless and soupy with a tasteless red sauce The prime rib was smothered in the beurre blanc sauce to the point the taste of the meat was lost. Both dishes were a disappointment. On the other hand, the desert of a flourless torte with toasted marshmallow ice cream, strawberry gel, white chocolate crumble and macrons was triumphant. A very delicious and satisfying desert. The bottle of Abeja Merlot was excellent. The service was good but pushy and the ambient noise was not intrusive. Unfortunately, the prices overall were very high for such a lackluster dinner. I ask myself if I would return and decided I would not search it out. But if I was passing buy and it was raining, I would try again but stay on the main menu.

Service was very bad. Only 1 waiter, cocktails came about 10 minutes after appetizers were already brought out, waiter said the bar was backed up after we had to ask for an update. The lamb pasta dish was lukewarm and the noodles were still hard, needed more cooking time. I will not be recommending nor coming back.
