   Super disappointed. I made a reservation for 3:45 PM. I get there to check in at 3:35 PM and the hostess could not have been any more rude. I went to the front counter “ I’m here to check in and gave her my name” she said is there anything else I can help you with? I said how long until I’m seated? She said there is 10 tables ahead of me and it’s probably going to take 1 hour and 30 minutes. I said I have a reservation for 345 and she said.” there is lots of people ahead of you and there’s nothing I can do.” in a very rude and condescending tone. What is the point of making reservations if you can’t be seated on the time that you make a reservation for. Super disappointed.

   Sadly we will not dine at this location again. This was our third visit with a very long delay to be seated. Our reservation (albeit on Christmas Eve) was at 6:15. We were not seated until 7:45. We sat at the table for half an hour after being seated before the chef showed up. Finished at 9:45. The fried rice was burned and the shrimp appetizer was served very last. Everything was off and it was not our usual Benihana experience. The staff seemed unconcerned about the wait time.

   I’ve been going to Benihana’s for the last 20 years on Christmas Eve in San Diego. This year we decided to try the location in Temecula because it is so close to our house. This was the worst experience my family has ever had at a Benihana location. The service was horrible, the food was over cooked and seasoned far too much. This terrible experience took over 3 hours from check in to receiving the check. I couldn’t be more disappointed with what was provided us at this location. Will definitely never go back.

   We arrived early for our 2pm reservation. As expected, we had to wait a few minutes for our table. Not a problem. We waited at our table for approximately 15 minutes when another family sat at our table. We then waited another 15-20 minutes before we were able to flag someone down. The manager came to our table, profusely apologizing for our wait and really had no explanation. She offered us water and a few appetizers for our inconvenience. After that, service was good and the chef was funny and totally changed the atmosphere. Turned out to be a good time!!

   Excellent food. The service was superb. I enjoyed sitting around the grill with the chef cooking for a couple and their two young children and another couple and me. I quickly made friends with them.

   Second time at this location. First time just wife and I, This time with whole family. Another consistent, solid experience. From the moment we walked in the hostess to the Bartender to our server. Extremely friendly, professional and apparent that people really care. Excellent value also dollar for dollar. Staffing ratios are excellent especially in this day when most places are short handed or have reduced staff. We will be back.

   We went to Benihana just to go for dinner nothing special yet the staff were fantastic we were seated quickly and our server Kendal came got us our drinks and was attentive but not overly attentive it was perfect, then Jonathan came out to cook for us a true professional fantastic at his craft and made our food perfectly as well as offered us ideas on how to make our meal better. We will definitely be back
