   We were disappointed in the food this visit. The chicken wings were very dry. The French dip was just ok.

   We had a reservation for a 70th birthday luncheon and, upon arrival, they had our table ready for us and we were seated promptly. Great table and our server was also very helpful and friendly. We asked her if the music could be turned down a bit which she took care of for us which helped with conversations. The food was very good with everyone loving their choices. I had the chicken enchiladas which were yummy. Others had the steak salad which looked good to me and they both said they loved their choice. Another the salmon salad which she loved. And another had the steak enchiladas which she enjoyed. We sat and talked for quite awhile but never felt pressured to leave. Definitely would recommend it to others and I will be taking my family their for dinner in the near future.

   We were celebrating our anniversary as we put on our Open Table reservation and it was never acknowledged by anyone. The service was very poor she didn’t act like she wanted to be at work. I asked for a refill on my soda and had to ask twice. By the way it’s $4.00 for a can of Coke times 2 Cokes is $8.00, I believe in the past refills were free. The presentation of the food was very plain. A glob of potatoes and a pice of meat, no garnish or anything.

   Our Server was sweet,and helpful. However we had barely begun to eat our appetizer when our entree arrived and sat on our now overcrowded table while we looked at both order, contemplating whether we should finish our appetizer and let our entree go cold or what?. We finally decided to take the rest of our appetizer home and had to find someone to pack it up for us. Then we began to eat our entrees and after two bites we looked at one another and shrugged ......my fish was way too salty and overcooked. His 'center cut' steak was definitely not the cut it was advertised to be and was only edible. Because it was my husband's birthday and our server had heard me wish him a happy birthday, she brought a treat to him at the end of our sad meal...and it was the best part of the whole experience....who could ruin vanilla ice cream? It was so noisy and the woman at the large group across the room screeched continually and the children in the group were the best behaved of the poorly raised bunch.

   I had the prawn linguiça. Probably the worst prawns I’ve ever had not much flavor.  Highly disappointed my girlfriend was not very happy with her mail either and the brussels sprouts were not very flavorful either very disappointing experience.

   Had a great server in Sherry,she was very attentive but not hovering. Had the calamari stack, a great appetizer, came out hot! My wife’s mushroom soup was a bit on the bland side. We split a wedge which was good but not enough dressing on the salad. I had a Bennett’s burger came out fresh and ho t fries dusted nicely. Wife had the French dip that she didn’t care for steak was cut into really small pieces and not cut/layered like most French dips. She had the nice fries though. Sherry brought out a nice sundae for my birthday!

    As always Bennett for the win! We love the Monday night dinner special and were able to celebrate our friend’s retirement and St Patrick Day too! Everyone enjoyed their food and wine! So glad we have Bennetts Westside here on our side of Rocklin!
