   Our party of 6 had a fabulous evening at Bernadette. We started the evening with drinks in the lounge area. A very relaxed fun vibe. The speciality cocktails are diverse, unique and really worth trying! Dinner is tapas style and everything we ordered was delicious! Our favorites were the octopus, pork belly, flambé pizza and paella-style fish. Honestly everything was delicious, wonderful flavor profiles and well presented. We were never rushed, the plates came out in a timely, well-paced manner. Our server was fabulous! (I regret I can’t remember his name!). He was funny, personable,knowledgeable, helpful and courteous. He said he was from Portugal and made some recommendations based on his experience which was a great personal touch. We enjoyed our evening thoroughly and will definitely go back.

   Pros: Overall very good. We enjoyed the ambiance and the service was terrific. Cocktails were great and price felt on par with other restaurants in the area. We split a bunch of the shareable apps and felt comfortably full at the end of the meal. Really enjoyed the grilled sourdough with the cheese plate, the croquettes (we tried ham & cheese and mushroom), and Brussels sprouts). Cons: The chairs at the high top table weren’t overly comfortable (back too low) and the lighting is very low (we saw at least one table using the flashlight app on their phone to read the menu). Would happily return! Definitely a special occasion place but also good for a girls night out.

   We had high hopes for this restaurant. It was our first time going, all moms out for Galentine's Day. Our reservation time was 7:30, we were not seated until 8:00. We asked for water for the table multiple times and did not receive actual water (despite the empty glasses they had brought over at some point) until about 8:40. Our cocktails took a long time to come. There was not a lot of attention paid to our table, and the place was not super busy (not that that is an excuse). We ordered a few apps, one being a cheese plate. The waiter did not mention how small the cheese plate would be (able to feed one person at best, not three). The portions are small and you are not told that they are small. We left hungry, and unsatisfied.

   Food was delicious and drinks outstanding! Skip dessert as they were underwhelming and have an espresso martini instead. Very cool vibe.

    First, the menu is quite limited, and very expensive. We expected tapas, and that is essentially what we got. For two people we had 4 plates, 4 drinks, and shared a dessert, with 2 cappuccinos, costing over $250. The hostess, who proclaimed she was the manager, must have called us "you guys" 3 or 4 times as she seated us, and again later. I told her I don't like to be addressed like that. Our waiter was excellent, able to explain and recommend menu items. In general, the food was very good. However, we misunderstood the oyster toppings, expecting to have a choice, and while I was happy with them, they had raw onions in them, which we had stated on the reservation we did not like. And the two largest dishes, which were the only ones needing to be cooked, octopus and hangar steak, were brought together. I did get a pretty good pomegranate martini, which is a bit unusual. We found the "city-like" dining experience pretentious. And what language are words like Fideua on the menu?
