   A huge tick on our Bucket List,simply lovely. George our waiter was a friendly,personable young man who really explained all the details to us and along with his colleagues did everything with a smile We loved our afternoon tea and recommend it as a special treat to remember and enjoy

   Lovely afternoon tea and staff were friendly and helpful. We were told our waiter was busy with other customers and were seated by someone else which was fine. We ordered from the shop but this seemed to be forgotten - they did bring items quickly once they realised. Everyone was given their bill and chocolates. We sat for ages waiting but did feel ignored. People were coming in for the next sitting. Eventually a manager must have noticed we were waiting card in hand and sent another waiter. He was surprised we had not received our bill and quickly sorted this and gave us 4 chocolates. The experience was let down due to this otherwise it would have had a higher mark.

   Having booked a table in advance for afternoon tea we were disappointed to be sat upstairs in a pleasant but featureless room. Pianist was good. Would have preferred a table in the main tearoom with windows all round. The sandwich selection was not to my liking. Disappointed that we couldn’t order items off the main menu to accompany out tea as this not offered upstairs. Overall at £45 per head felt overpriced and overhyped. No complaints about service or staff. Better experience the following day in the neighbouring Ivy.

   Such a fabulous experience every time I visit ! Staff are very professional and polite. Food is amazing. I’m vegan and they catered for me with delicious alternatives to the standard menu. I was so impressed.

   We visited as a party of three for an afternoon tea on Sat 23rd March 2025. It was busy but the staff remained very friendly and professional throughout. We waited a little while for a window table (it was our choice to wait and definitely worth it) and then thoroughly enjoyed ourselves eating all the lovely food. Ann was very helpful and knowledgeable and keen to keep checking if we needed anything else and the food, both savoury and sweet was all delicious. The staff were all very friendly and smiley throughout which enhanced our experience even further. We weren't rushed to leave when we'd finished eating (but we were there for a later sitting) and one staff member even recommended a couple of options for cocktails as we were leaving (and she was spot on with some good options!) Overall, a lovely, indulgent way to spend a Saturday afternoon and it'll be a pleasure to come again in the future!

   A great experience for our 50th Anniversary. The pianist played some pleasant music whilst we dined. The food was excellent and the service was outstanding.

    Great, special occasion treat and a great opportunity to try various blends of tea instead of the good old Yorkshire tea that we drink copious amounts of!! Even went home with a goody bag as we couldn’t manage to eat everything.
