Dine on fresh sustainably-sourced seafood, wild game meats and more. Our casual setting and inviting atmosphere is ideal for grabbing a bite to eat with friends or family.

Big Fish offers food such as a seafood chowder, smoked oyster sliders or chili-glazed frog legs that make for flavorful appetizers. Guests can feast on an entrée of pan-roasted walleye with wilted spinach, fish tacos topped with tomato-mango salsa or a lamb and lobster burger. An oyster bar as well as delicious house-made desserts are also available.

Open Range embodies the essence of our city; cutting edge, but comfortable and unpretentious. Open Range mixes modern with tradition, serving every cut you would expect but preparing them with interesting variations of flavours. Lovely restaurant and staff. Unfortunately we didn’t really enjoy the food. Will try again though. Salads needed more dressing and flavour.

The food was fair to midling. Seared scallops had no sear - they had the texture of previously frozen. The fish tacos were not warm, and while removed from the bill did not make for a great experiance. The Braised Bison shortrib was very fatty and highly unusual for bison. Nothing was bad, just edible and definatley not memorable.

Good food, nice decor. Pretty cheezy when they try to charge for condiments, like $2 for horseradish on a dozen oysters. Enough is enough. If you can’t make money selling $4 oysters you aren’t going to save your business selling $2 horseradish. Take a deeper look and try to create a win win for you and your customers. Canada has forgotten customer service and value.

Another great meal at one of our favorite restaurants. Being Mother's Day they had a 3-course brunch menu for $35! Excellent value. Choice of seafood chowder or beet, apple arugula salad. Entre choice of pork belly omelet or salmon hash (chunky potatoes - love them). Only comment here was I suggest they use Heirloom tomatoes and mine were bland. Both of us chose the hazelnut torte over the cheesecake. Decant but still light tasting with raspberry glaze and whipped cream. I had Prosecco to start and a Earl Teaini House infused Earl Grey Tanqueray Gin, Bergamotto Fantastico, lavender, lemon, foam which was very tasty.

Not sure if it’s cuz it was Mother’s Day (it wasn’t a full house) but our service was quite slow. It took about an hour for our food to come out after we ordered and still the food came out room temperature. My husband got the fish and chips, the fish was overcooked with little fish in it and mostly burnt batter. I got the duck confit hash. It was not hot and the duck was overly salty. The clam chowder soup was quite runny and bland. We also got the crab and lobster toast which had very little crab and/or lobster. Overall our party was underwhelmed by the food and service here. Likely won’t be back for brunch any ways.

My bison back ribs was delicious but my girlfriend thought the risotto that came with her arctic char was a bit bland. Food portions were very good. And the service by our waiter (Harry) was outstanding. Still a neighborhood gem !
