We’re captivated by the natural beauty and bounty of Virginia. That’s why our menu is much more than a traditional steakhouse: terrific cuts, of course, complimented by locally caught seafood, sides fresh from the farmers market, and award-winning wine from across the globe. We’re not just for celebrating, and we’re not just a steakhouse: we’re the sophisticated dining experience that every steakhouse wants to be when it grows up. Valet parking is available, free for the first two hours with validation. Street parking is also available without a permit after 5pm daily and on the weekends.

Have dined here 5 or 6 times since they opened. Glad to see a new menu. Does the food match the pricing and aura of the restaurant? No. We go there and to their Sports Bar because we live on the west side of town. Our recent experience was mixed. The primary issue is that we were rushed through the service - the opposite experience of previous visits. Positives: the Parker House rolls, which I did not expect to be good; the salad, homemade ricotta and the crab cake. Four of us dined and so we had a variety of dishes. We were charged for an item we never received and also I think overcharged for wine that we ordered by the glass and for quite small pours. It seemed tacky to question the wine after informing out waiter that we were charged for a dish that never was served. The carrot cake was delicious. The problem is that the hotel and restaurant caters to the business school world with expense accounts. If they want to attract local people they need to do a lot better.

Exceptional. Elevated to the best of steakhouses in Charlottesville. It can be a little loud, but the hotel is gorgeous.

The brunch menu was great; amazing offerings. I had the roasted mushroom and Boursin cheese omelette which was fluffy and delicious.

Great ambience. Parking can be tricky if there are a number of events taking place on site. The service was slow - reservation at 6:45, ordered around 7:15 and we didn’t get food until almost an hour later for a party of 7. The food was good for the most part, though those in our party that ordered the burger mentioned it was not good - not well seasoned, dry. Overall it was good but may be better for smaller groups or just apps & drinks .

Absolutely loved dining here. The Hanger Steak was one of the best I have had in a while, let alone that you can find in Charlottesville. Exceptional experience!

Half empty dinning room but still 1/2 hour wait for table. Very short staffed for the second Sunday visit. Went in for the bagel and smoked salmon but the menu changed so I tried the eggs Benedict which was very disappointing. Hard poarched eggs and a odd hash brown pattie under the thick slice of ham. Very little hollandaise sauce. And the it was served with a side of potatoes.

We had been to the restaurant during restaurant week and wanted to share our find with friends. We got there early and stopped off at the bar and were greeted by exceptional staff and good drinks. Unfortunately, our restaurant experience was less than desired. It seemed an off night for the entire dinner. Although she tried hard, the waitress was subbing for some one and not familiar with the menu and sometimes slow with drink refills, being able to recommend wine, bringing food in order, and other table service. Food which were labeled as shareable for dinner were brought as appetizers and while good, would have been better served alongside the entrees. My husband got the octopus which was labeled a shareable and it turned out to be a single grilled tentacle that was not cut or prepared to share. The main entrees were disappointing as the steak tartar very over seasoned, the duck fairly bland, and my salmon with veggies was grilled too dry and very black across the top and the skin. Even the pot de crème was pedestrian. We may be back because the location is good, the hotel lobby very scenic and modern and the bar is great (although noise seeped across the open area into the restaurant). But our Friday night dinner was mostly mediocre. To top it off, the valet app required a room number to complete the retrieval of our car. Since we weren’t staying at the hotel, we did not have a room. We had to wait outside for the valet to retrieve our car.
