   Food was great . Service was . it was really a crazy normal Sunday that it was packed and service was a little slow. kinda pricey for usual food.

   Food was good. Service was a little slow initially and we waited about 20 minutes to get our drinks. The noise level is the one detractor. It was deafening if you’re looking for a quiet spot for dinner don’t go on a Saturday night. If you are going with friends and celebrating something then this is the place for you

   We arrived at 3:30 PM and decided to start our evening at the bar. I ordered the Members Only cocktail, which was okay, while my husband opted for an Old Fashioned that he enjoyed. Unfortunately, the bartender left much to be desired in terms of attentiveness. Even though the bar wasn’t busy, she barely checked in and didn’t ask if we needed anything else. We had to flag her down to pay so we could go to our table. At 4:30 PM, we moved upstairs for dinner, where our experience improved. Our waitress was friendly and attentive throughout the meal. We began with the pulled pork nachos, which were flavorful and satisfying. My husband had an IPA, and I tried the Uptown Girl cocktail. Both drinks were enjoyable. We were surprised they still had pumpkin ales on the menu, but no winter ales available. For our main courses, my husband chose the skirt steak special, which was fantastic, while I had the salmon, which was good .A hiccup occurred when my husband ordered another beer that never arrived, but we decided to move on without bringing it up. To finish the meal, we ordered a cappuccino and a cordial for my husband. Since it was his birthday, we treated ourselves to the brownie sundae, which came with a candle but was not complimentary—a bit of a letdown considering the occasion. Overall, it was a solid meal. The food ranged from good to great, but service inconsistencies detracted from the experience. This is the kind of place you might visit again, but not in my top 5 favs

   I am glad this was not my first time at Birdie Bar because it would have been my last. Started with a 6:45 reservation and did not sit until 7:30. The bar was so overcrowded that it took 30 minutes to get drinks. I would not have minded, in the past the drinks were excellent. However the drinks were weak and much less flavorful than in the past. We were finally seated at a very nice table in the front corner of the upstairs dining room, where the noise level was more manageable. Unfortunately, our waitress, Courtney, was completely disengaged from her job. She moved at a snail's pace and only needed to take our orders; the food runners and bus staff handled everything else. I tried to find her to request a brownie with a candle for my husband’s birthday, but after a long wait, gave up. When she finally came back to our table, we asked for the check and once again had a long wait. She never returned to complete the transaction, so my husband went over to the service station to finish it himself. We would not have tipped her well, but that would have unfairly penalized the runners and busboy who did their jobs well and were polite and energetic. Despite this experience, I will give Birdie Bar another try since it is a local establishment we have enjoyed in the past.
