   The scenery was good but for the price and value the food was horrible. My kids meal of chicken tenders and fries was overcooked pretty much burned and the pasta had way too much seasoning. The drinks ordered were mainly juice and everything was overpriced for mediocre food. I was very disappointed and get the resort is in the middle of nowhere so customers don’t have much options. But for the price we pay we should at least get common food etiquette and basic essentials that a basic restaurant has. Will be my family’s last trip to Kartrite. With the price we payed during a two day weekend which was well over $2500 I would just like to get excellent food and tasty drinks. Everything here really sucks like my family and I were staying in a hole on the wall, cheap establishment. Furthermore, I wish more attention to detail and top of the line service was dedicated to top paying customers for a great dining experience. For the service we received the price should have been half off and McDonald’s would have been a better bet that the food we received. I wish I could of gave less than a 1 star because they deserved. FYI the reviews before hand said the same thing and I was giving the establishment the benefit of the doubt, but the reviews were right. Nasty food, ok service, overpriced items!

   We went to Bixby's for dinner last night. The menu looked good, but was limited. To our surprise, they were out of both salads (chopped and Ceasar, both soups (French onion, and butternut squash), and they were out of the sushi pizza. So they only had 2 appetizers available. We ordered 2 NY strip entrees for dinner, which were supposed to come with asparagus and garlic mashed potatoes. They both came with broccoli and regular mashed potatoes, and both of our steaks came out completely charred and burnt. The 2 kids' meals were mediocre. When it came to dessert, they had none of their menu items available, only vanilla/chocolate ice cream and cheesecake. We had indicated we were celebrating a birthday when we made the reservation, but there was nothing special done. The worst part of this experience was that the hostess and/or waitress didn't inform us of any of this beforehand so that we could have decided to go elsewhere. We were only informed when trying to order the above mentioned items. The best part of our meal was the bread basket, which my kids had to ask for since no appetizers were available. I do not recommend this restaurant.

   Pretty nasty food here that took way too long to be served. There was nobody in the restaurant yet I waited an hour for the disgusting drunken chicken parm. I spent the next 2 days sick and unable to enjoy the resort. The warm bread and butter was the only good thing about the place.

   The food was disgusting. And they were out of many menu items. Have never had such a bad meal and we were there with 7 other people and not one person enjoyed their meal. Do not go here!

   We had a horrible experience at Bixby’s this weekend. We were with a group of people and had reservations at 7pm and had to wait an hour and a half for our food and drinks. Then we finally get the food after an hour and 45 minutes and they tell us they are sold out of shrimp and grits. The worst service and experience at a restaurant.

   The first 4 things we ordered they were out of. My husband got his meal with the wrong side because they were also out of that - which he wasn’t told until the meal came out. What we ate was good but for the price and the headache, we won’t be back.

   Reservation was for 5:45. We arrived early at 5:30 and waited about 10 minutes. We ordered right away except no onion soup and no salads. There were also 3 entrees they were out of somehow. Okay … ordered our food. Ordered 2 drinks but the bartender was on break … got our waters and lemonades but no food or alcohol for an hour. Burgers were like hockey pucks even though requested medium. French fries were delicious. We wasted so much time here it would’ve been faster to get in the car and drive some place with good food and that had their actual menu offerings.

    To start our waitress was incredible. I believe her name was Nancy I could say a million great things about her . I have to say we felt terrible for her… Right off the bat, I ordered a drink from the drink menu and she had to inform me that they were unable to make it so I went with a more simpler drink. The menu is already very limited to begin with, it only has six appetizers and the two appetizers we ordered I was informed that they didn’t have either of them…. we skipped all appetizers and just ordered our entrées. We were able to order both of our entrées. The time of receiving food was about an hour after we sat down no bread, apps, etc . The food wasn’t terrible. It also wasn’t anything extraordinary for $27 my pasta and premade chicken in a side salad bowl wasn’t worth $27. On the reservation, we had made a note because it asks if we’re there for any occasion, we wrote that we were there for a birthday we were actually there for my daughters and myself’s birthday, I’m not gonna take that out on my server. I’m assuming it was probably because there was no dessert. You should probably take that off your reservation if you don’t plan to do anything for the guest. Presentation looks good, room looked good, Unfortunately, the Google reviews are spot on. We would’ve been happier ordering takeout from DoorDash or GrubHub. We were here about five months ago and had a similar experience actually last time was worse. We decided to give it a second shot. We probably would not give it a third. Shame on the establishment for not having the proper ingredients for your menu especially when it is a limited menu. It’s embarrassing. We’re understanding people, but anybody else would’ve probably taken it out on their server and that’s just not fair to them. There was a blonde woman who looked like a manager. She was working very hard. I would like to give her a lot of credit as well. Front of house is great. Seems like there’s a lot of problems in the back of house….
