   A really good experience. All the staff looked after us really well, finding us a quieter table, dealing with our BYOB bottles, even chasing us up the street to give us a scarf that we'd left behind.

   Full disclosure, this is the second time I've been to Blacklock. As such, I had a real worry that I'd put it on a bit of a pedestal - that it couldn't possibly live up to the image I had in my mind. Dear reader, it is my distinct pleasure to tell you that I was very, very, wrong. I have, it must be said, only been for the Sunday roast. That Sunday roast, however, is the very pinnacle, the ideal, the perfected form of the art. Everything is cooked perfectly, the servers are friendly, kind, and attentive. If a sour note could be found, then it could be said that it's a little noisy. It's not an unpleasant noise, though - but the sound of fifty or so diners enjoying themselves, the place, and the company with enthusiasm. Go. Go immediately. Go for lunch and dinner. Tip your servers. Thank me later.

   My husband had been keen to have a Sunday lunch platter at Blacklock for quite some time. It was definitely worth waiting to be able to book a table. The food was excellent, a sharing platter for three plus cauliflower cheese just the right amount for two adults and two children

   Go for the all in for sure. Extra trimmings is an option but we didn’t need it. Be sure to leave room for the cheesecake dessert.

   We arrived early, very early, for our reservation and it was no problem 😊 staff were very accommodating and attentive. During our late lunch it was very quiet and got busier and noisier later in the afternoon. It wasn't too loud though just the atmosphere changed to be livelier. It was our 2nd visit to a Backlock restaurant, the 1st being in Soho and the food was outstanding!! Backlock City did not disappoint and we had the same food because it was good the first time! The sharing plate is great value and so tasty, broccoli and walnut salad is yummy. We will go again and next time we've vowed to try something different.. the steaks we spied on other diners plates looked lush and the sweet potato side looks delicious, as did the winter slaw. A very long lunch was enjoyed as were several English Riviera cocktails - perfect! Backlock is a firm favourite for us when we visit London and our go to destination, they all seem to have the same chilled yet sophisticated ambience with a touch of Boho chic running throughout. I would highly recommend for all ages on the premise that you Love good quality Meat! Even though there are Veggie options.. the meat and it cookery are outstanding 👌

    Beautiful food, a little slow with the service to start with, we had to ask for drinks but otherwise very happy. Noisy in there so be prepared as it was so busy but that's not the restaurants fault , it's a sign of their great food
