Blacklock is a modern version of the Great British chophouse. Set in an old electricity substation on the site of London"s oldest meat market. We take the best meat in the country from the award-winning farmer and butcher Philip Warren in Cornwall. We cook chops simply over our real charcoal grill with a little help from vintage Blacklock irons and serve it all up alongside cocktails that give back and wine on tap in our atmospheric subterranean chop mecca. On Sundays we serve a Roast almost as good as Mum's.

We have limited spaces for Walk-ins, so we encourage booking in advance to avoid disappointment during busy times.

    We’ve been going to Blacklock for the last 7 years. The food is outstanding and the service likewise. More than that we have not been to a more consistently excellent restaurant group in our lifetime.

    Food was amazing and the staff were very tentative and made our experience brilliant. My partner loved everyone saying Happy Birthday to him and the cheesecake!! Thank you, we will definitely be returning next time we’re in London.

    I enjoyed a delicious Sunday roast dinner. The beef was tender and the roast potatoes & 4 cheese cauliflower cheese were divine. The drinks were superb - esp the breakfast martini. The restaurant was calm & pleasant, and the servers wee all lovely. The very kindly brought me a cheesecake with a candle for my birthday, which was very sweet. Thank you for a great experience, and I highly recommend Blacklock City!
