   Mostly French inspired dishes, which were good portion size and flavorful. The weak link here, is the service which is slow; I think the pacing between when you order and when you receive your item can be improved, especially with drinks. My wife ordered an NA mocktail, which turned out to be unavailable but it took 10 minutes for our waiter to communicate that, then it was showing on the bill (it was removed after I noted the error).

   The ambiance was not as moody as it’s portrayed online, leaving it kind of awkward feeling. Our waitress was super kind and friendly but the experience was odd, she didn’t come around often and when she did she didn’t gather our plates or ask if we wanted dessert, we waited over 30 min for our plates to be cleared and by that time we were desperate for the bill. We ordered the salmon ($40) and the pomme Anna (au gratin potatoes) to share. The pomme Anna was described and buttery crisp cheesey - it was that but on top of a bed of tomato sauce. It was and interesting dish to say the least the tomato soup through me off. The salmon was delicious and the high light of the evening - crispy pan seared perfectly cooked salmon BUT $40 for a 4oz slice of salmon is crazy CRAZY - with no sides!? Wild. Also why did I have to pay a deposit for a reservation!?! Also wild.

   Heard great things and we were excited to try it out. Service was horrendous, and as we were leaving in the elevator, we talked with another table who said the same thing. Hopefully it was just an off night for the server, and it’s not a regular occurrence. Otherwise, the food was decent. Not sure if the risotto is supposed to be “hot” or just “warm”…

   We had a wonderful time. The server was amazing, the food was incredible, and the ambiance was perfect for what we wanted. We had a 12-year-old and she had a wonderful time, too. It was a true night to remember!

   This was my third time to Blondette and it was not very good. The first two times I dined at Blondette were fantastic! However, this third visit was not very good. The risotto was lacking flavor. You could taste the saffron, but that was it. It lacked depth and didn’t cook off enough liquid. The service was slow, even though the restaurant wasn’t busy and the server seemed to have a bit of an attitude. Beautiful place, but this visit wasn’t worth the price.

   To say I was disappointed in this experience is an understatement. I brought a group of 9 woman dressed up to enjoy fine cuisine and exceptional service. The risotto was soup and tasteless for the price. I would normally politely let the server know but she was no where to be found. When the check came, my party of 7 women, had to waste our time separating the tab by hand since they do not allow separate checks. The server was of no assistance with this and seemed like she could care less since she was already getting her 18%. I’m not one to ever leave bad reviews and I am an exceptional tipper as I have worked in and understand the hospitality industry but this was an over the top horrible experience. Sad to say.

   We booked a 7:30pm dinner on a Friday night because we were staying at the Rand Tower. The restaurant was completely dead when we arrived. It appears to be an upscale French restaurant on their website, but the other clientele were wearing baseball hats and sweats. It was a perfectly warm night and their prized patio wasn't open for dinning. While the waitress was very nice, the experience was overall less than impressive. To start, the menu was extremely limited and they were already out of their duck entree by 7:30pm. We ordered the Beef Tartare appetizer. It was honestly inedible. Iced cold, only came with two pieces of toast, and looked horrific. Like cold neon green soup surrounding a floating island of canned meat. The toast tasted strongly like natural gas. We decided to pay the bill and had dinner somewhere else. Two drinks and one appetizer came to $67.82 before tip. We were charged $4.00 for bread (which was suppose to be part of the appetizer), a separate $2.00 charge for the juice in each vodka cranberry, and a 5% wellness charge. If you are looking for a nice restaurant during your stay, I recommend you book outside of the hotel.
