Welcome to the Blue Marlin Restaurant, proudly serving "A Taste of the Southern Low Country," located in Columbia South Carolina's thriving Congaree Vista District.

Our server was great. The food was disappointing . I have been to The Blue Marlin so many times. The food has been great and flavorful but last night it was bland. I was embarrassed that I recommended this restaurant to my new boyfriend.

Everyone else's meal was great. They all had a fish dish of one kind or another. I chose to get filet. My server said there was no such thing as ordering it medium + but there is because I have had two other restaurants cook it for me that way. My filet was to too underdone the first time and then too overdone on the second try. Guess the cook doesn't know how to do a medium +. I'll stick to a fish dish next time. Other than that everything was superb !!!

As always, Blue Marlin did not disappoint! I had the salmon with collard greens and substituted succotash for the grits. Delicious. My companion had the crab cake which she loved (as do I). Lastly, I think the Blue Marlin she crab soup is outstanding - worth all the scrumptious calories! Each of us had to have a cup of that to start things off!
