Blue Plate Oysterette was inspired by East Hampton summer lobster bakes and mouthwatering lunches at Montauk’s favorite roadside eateries. With influences like Pearl Oyster Bar and Mary’s Fish Camp in New York, Oysterette serves lunch and dinner seven days a week with a menu straight out of the seafood shacks you find on the East Coast. Chunky, overflowing lobster rolls, buckets of steamed clams in broth so flavorful that bread demands to be dunked, clam chowder, mussels in broth, ceviche, and raw shellfish so fresh you can smell the ocean. Service was excellent. We had to make last second changes to the orders and our server handled it beautifully and didn’t make us feel bad for doing so. Water cup was always full. The Mediterranean Brazino was super delicious in fact all that we ordered was super delicious. Valet Parking was right next door. The cost was $170 for 3 people including tax+tip. It was a very good experience. Valet was separate $20.

Sat on patio next the busy road. The some of the seafood tower was not very fresh. The oysters were fresh but very small. Scallops and jumbo shrimp were good. Grilled oysters were very flavorful but shrunk down to a small morsel. Grilled artichoke, Spanish octopus and carrot ginger salad were very good. The lobster roll (we chose hot) was very dry. Very pricey for the quality and quantity. Our server (I think Jason?) was great!

I was somewhat disappointed with the food, however the service was amazing and the ambiance as well. Overpriced in my opinion but a good experience.

Food and ambiance good, service lackluster. We had to ask our server for to refill our water glasses three times even though we’d put them out by the edge of the table so it’s easy for him to see. There was only us and two tables inside the restaurant. Staff kept passing but not being cognizant of tables to scan and see what they may need.
