   Waited 15 minutes for someone to greet us even though the restaurant was quiet. Couldnt even order a drink whilst waiting! Salmon Maki starter was superb. Three of our four Sunday lunches were excellent - pork and beef cooked perfectly with a lovely selection of vegetables but, shockingly the 4th meal was extortion at it's worst. The pork was advertised as 'Gloucester Old Spot Pork Rack, apple sauce' - the beef was advertised as 'Dry aged Hereford rolled rib of beef, horseradish' and that's exactly what arrived, each with a Yorkshire pudding and dish of mixed veg. So when a dish is advertised as 'Vegetrain Roast, cauliflower cheese and vegan gravy' it implies there will be an actual v'egetarian roast' eg a nut loaf or similar with cauliflower cheese & gravy. However, it arrived as just a small dish of cauliflower cheese with a mini jug of gravy and a burnt Yorkshire!!! We asked the waiter if there was going to be some vegetarian roast arriving as well, to be told "No, thats it"- so I asked him to swap my burnt Yorkshire for a paler one and he looked at me as if I was insane. Maybe he's never tasted burnt Yorkshire but anyone who has knows it tastes bitter. The cheese sauce was very runny but no spoon provided so attempted to attract a member of staff to ask for a spoon but eventually had to get up and find one myself. £28 for a very small dish of cauliflower cheese is, quite frankly, LUDICROUS! Made all the worse when I'd asked earlier to swap to the pork but was bluntly told "It's too late" ... realistically, given that they were serving all day, how could it be too late for any decent kitchen staff to simply put a dish of cauliflower cheese to one side and, instead place a piece of pork on the place instead?! But, for us, the whole lunch ambience was ruined by the staff- we are four friendly, very courteous, smiley people in our 60's so don't find it enjoyable to dine where all staff are glum and woefully unattentive. The service was the worst ever experienced

   Overall good service from our waiter . We did wait 1 hour and 20 minutes for our food to arrive. They did give us drinks on the house due to the wait.

   Great meal I booked this for my 10 year old so he could take his mum to brunch and they both loved it. The food was great, they loved the atmosphere and the bill I saw at the end was less than I expected. Overall it sounds like a great place.

   After an hour of waiting we'd only just been served the drinks. At the time of booking i stated the dietary requirements so found it surprising when the waiter asked us if there were any! After more than an hour a party member chased up the food and we were told it would be another 10 to 15 minutes. After about another 10 minutes someone came to apologise and offer us some more drinks. I asked when the food would be served and was told about another 10 minutes. When the food was eventually served we only got food for 10 people (party of 11). Eventually we received everything but it wasn't exactly what they'd advertised. Some of the bread was starting to dry out. The menu also stated loose leaf tea. It was teabags. I didn't receive my second pot of tea. The acoustics were terrible and the waiter had to ask us often to repeat ourselves. A member of staff came to apologise and the high tea was given to us free of charge. For that we were thankful.
