This waterfront locale is historically known as the launching site of our country's first submarine, the H.L. Hunley. Poised at the breach between the Intracoastal Waterway and the Atlantic, you can enjoy a meal amongst the spectacular sunset views and balmy ocean breezes of the Isle of Palms.     We had drink and oysters at the bar then moved to screened porch to have dinner. Sunset was beautiful, food was great and service fantastic!

    We had an excellent dinner. The food was hot and fresh. It was very crowded but the service was excellent. Our server was very attentive and readily got us anything we needed. It was a great dining experience.

    We’ve dined at The Boathouse for more than 20 years thru ups and downs & ownership changes. They’re back. Quality of food & service is up several notches - best ever - and the jammed parking lot suggests everyone knows. When you add its unique and memorable location and view, it’s a “don’t miss” dinner requirement for a Charleston area visit.

    There was some kind of a photo shoot or something going on and the woman was hovering over our table, getting us in photos, filming herself eating, lights added and all… for more than an hour and it was so distracting. The staff was apart of it and it was so inappropriate and distracting. Very uncomfortable and disappointing

    Sat on the screened in porch for a very nice dinner. Service and food were excellent. They accommodated our guests aged 2 to 80 very well. Recommend the local mahi mahi and fried shrimp dinner. We will return.
