   I’ve been a loyal customer of this restaurant for years, dating back to its previous location, where the staff was always welcoming and friendly. Unfortunately, my recent visits have been disappointing. On the past few occasions, I’ve had the same rude server, whose attitude and lack of patience have made the experience unpleasant. Instead of offering helpful recommendations or engaging with our table, he displays a dismissive demeanor. He was also careless, slamming drinks and plates down, and repeatedly bumping into chairs and knocking over coats without even acknowledging it with a simple “excuse me.” It’s gotten to the point of feeling like expensive fast-food table-flipping behavior, which is not any Italian dining experience and has completely clouded what I once loved about dining here. I hope management will reconsider the staff, perhaps promoting some of the hardworking busboys who demonstrate better customer service. A little more attention to the guest experience would make future visits much more enjoyable and less like a burden.

   We had an excellent meal at Bocca... The food was exceptional, especially the Portuguese Octopus appetizer that was plenty to share. The service was impeccable, and prices reasonable for the NYC area. Our only issue at all was the noise level, primarily from a very loud group in a table near us. Once they left it was quite pleasant.

   Excellent staff maitr’d came over and asked how everything was. Haven’t seen that happen in Manhattan in a while. Kudos to them.

   Went for post theater dinner. We were seated ages before our scheduled reservation. The service was excellent. The food was excellent. Would definitely recommend.

    Restaurant was extremely crowded but we were seated immediately! Great service and food was excellent!! It was loud because of the packed restaurant but the staff was efficient and personable!!
