   Lovely setting and beautiful room. Very good attentive service. Food was delicious but small portions and not great value as a result hence 3 star rating.

   We started off the night with drinks and canapes in the red velvet lounge before transitioning into the lovely, airy dining room. The food was so fresh and flavorful. The Aubergine and Endive were particular hits as they had really lovely textures and a range of flavors to complement the main items. The cod was luscious and spare, and the venison was delightful with its pickled radicchio, marinated bell peppers, red wine jus, and green peppercorns. Dessert was a pair of lovely dishes - one with chocolate, blackberry granita and buckwheat and finally a lovely, savory honey cookie bar with a douglas fir dusting. The wine list was quite affordable and we had a lovely Viognier with our first couple courses. Great spot, beautiful vibes and great food. What a lovely place to kick off a trip to Scotland!

   Romantic dinner for 2, the dinning room is fantastic with the painted ceiling bringing something new. The tasting menu was excellent and provided a special drink for my partner giving it was her birthday without any prompt. Finished the evening in the study for a comfortable final drink, pricing was very reasonable in comparison to other venues, would recommend a visit.

   Visited for my wife’s birthday. Complimentary glass of bubbles started a great evening meal. Impeccable service and fabulous food. Definitely recommend this place.

   Lovely time, venison tartare wonderful. Highly recommend to try this place now. Great balance between unpretentious service in intimate and beautiful rooms. Parties of 2-4 probably best
