   Service was great, good wine and cool ambiance. For the price the Valentine’s Day courses meal was not great, starters were bland with no flavour at all some small meatballs floating in warm water, and a tiny bunch of greens with some blocks of cheese. Main was better still not great. Ended up coming out to 230 with a bottle of wine. Not worth it in my opinion could’ve went to another restaurant and gotten way better food for a better price.

   Felt like a bait and switch showing up on Valentine's Day and having a very limited fixed menu at exorbitant prices. None of the options met our restrictions. The server was immediately defensive when I asked if the regular menu was available and said it was stated when I made the reservation (it wasn't). Won't be back.

   We looked up the Happy Hour menu and decided to give Boom + Batten a try. Not only did everything exceed our expectations, the location and timing allowed for us to take in a gorgeous sunset with an ocean view. It was a fantastically relaxing date for two on our mini-holiday away.

   This was our second visit to Boom and Batten. This time it was to meet friends for lunch. Previously my husband and I went for dinner, Both visits were great from service to delicious food. The menu is extensive and we were impressed with our food choices. Dinner selections were for my husband, he started with 6 raw oysters on the half shell, Main, Cocoa Bison/Venison I started with kale Cesar salad and Main, Apple Pork Belly. Lunch selections were for my husband Fish Chowder For me Egg Benedict with Smoked Salmon (one egg) We were very pleased with everything we ordered and the loved the view of the water/marina. We Highly recommend this beautiful restaurant.
