The restaurant didn’t accept our booking through yourselves! They told us that they no longer have a contract with you and aren’t taking any bookings - it was Valentine’s Day, where were we meant to go?! Why did you not inform us of this? We would have booked somewhere else... the service there was SHOCKING to say the least. They had no Jonny walker black label - no lasagna! Our food took 1 hour and 20 mins to come out, it was sent to another couple! 5 minutes later the waiter realised and then brought the plates over to us, after it had been sitting in front of someone - how is that acceptable at such a reputable restaurant? We gave an earful to the manager and she tried to give us the food on the house - I have never been so offended in my life! We didn’t want their food - they didn’t even ask us for more drinks, when we ordered the drinks they came out wrong! The evening was an absolute disaster

First of all, Bottega was not available to book through OpenTable although OpenTable advertises it. Hence, we had to wait for almost an hour to get a table! We then had to wait another hour for the food to arrive. I had ordered steak which was dry and rubbery! I returned the order and the kitchen was kind enough to offer me a quick pizza as a free alternative. The veg lasagna was also not up to the mark. But the management waived off our bill and we paid only for the drinks we had. Overall, our Valentine’s Day dinner didn’t go as planned! For anyone planning on visiting Bottega, please book a table on their website and not here!!
