   So glad I went. The baked Brie and sea bass dishes were delectable. Would like to try the duck confit too. Service was perfectly timed. Authentic mid 20th century French ambiance. Considering a return trip before flying home.

   Visited before seeing a show. Chose from the A la carte menu. Food very tasty and service attentive. Booking a table at busy times essential as this is a popular restaurant which we have visited before.

   The staff seemed a little rushed. Our French fries were delayed / forgotten and we had to chase them. Our wine order needed two chasing requests to deliver the request. By that time, meals were over half over. Staff were polite and apologised, but it was disappointing to feel forgotten in this way.

   Their website offers 50% discount. I ordered a steak and fries to be told after the order was taken that steak wasn't included in the deal so had to re order after the sides wine etc so had to be changed too. There was no mention of the exclusion on the website so beware.. A bread order was forgotten until halfway through the starter. Mains were delivered before starter plates etc had been cleared. A side of veg was forgotten and we reminded them, we then received 2 instead of 1. All in all a bit of a farce we won't be going back. The Palm Court Brasserie round the corner is much better

   Every mouthful of food was tasty, the waiter was good and the ambience was just the ticket. We met a German business contact and wanted to show him great food in Covent Garden and it was just that.

    The food here is excellent, one of my favourite restaurants in central London. I put the noise as moderate, while it is just people talking, and it is usually busy, but it is a bacground hum of speech not a racket.
