Overpriced, have a happy hour menu but do not honor it, out of a lot of food, and did not have cash to give us change when paying cash.

We were so disappointed with our dining experience here. Although our waitress was sweet, you could tell she was stretched too thin and service was extremely slow. The bar took about 30 minutes to make our first round of drinks. Because of the wait time we decided it wasn’t worth ordering anymore. As for the food – this restaurant has an identity crisis. The menu online promotes tapas, flatbreads, and a range of charcuterie boards plus dinner service. When we got to the restaurant, their digital menus had tapas and only three different charcuterie boards (note- one was vegetarian and two had the same proteins – fried fish. There were no flatbreads, entrees, or the charcuterie boards we had hoped to order as advertised online. Plus, only one dessert on the menu?!. So is this a tapas restaurant? Is it appetizers? Basically it’s just an overpriced place to snack in my opinion. After about an hour, when our drinks were finished, our food arrived. As the food was getting delivered, we were told that two of the six dishes we ordered were no longer available. We were exhausted, hungry, and honestly just over it at that point. We decided to make what we ordered Work. Basically a whole lot of carbs. Now, I will say that the food tasted fantastic! but we ordered the pork belly with cabbage on sliders, and they only served us pork belly. It was things like that that added up throughout the whole night that made this dining experience really embarrassing and unenjoyable. It’s too bad – the food was pretty good – but management and overall restaurant identity is abysmal. I can’t imagine they will last very long under these circumstances.

The sliders were great but my wife requested them well done and they were served medium. The waitress Rachel was outstanding, she got us a new batch of well done sliders and drinks on the house.

Not a lot of choices on the menu. Our charcuterie came out different then table next to us, expensive for small quantities. I wanted to like it!

The concept of this place is great and their website and social media makes it very attractive. Everything about this meal made us feel hoodwinked. Immediately after being seated they brought a few waters and promised more. They never came. It took forever for the drinks to come out. When they did, they came one at a time and were not good. A friend ordered an old fashion with the coppertown bourbon instead of the house bourbon. Instead, he received a glass of straight house bourbon on ice. It took so long to come out he didn’t say anything because we were still waiting to order food and had a trolley to catch. Our trolley tickets were for 7. We got there just after 5 and still had to dash. The server’s explanations were all misleading. You aren’t actually ordering a full board. You are ordering the start of a board and tapas to fill it out. I ordered a burrata salad which came after all the adults were done eating. It was a bed of greens, raw sliced strawberries, balsamic drizzle and burrata cheese. The server’s explanations suggested the sliders for the kids, which we ordered. They never came out. The chef even came out and asked if we ordered sliders. They were made but I guess the 4 orders made it to another table. We ended up asking them to box them to go so the kids could eat on the way to the trolley. When they came out one box was missing the top buns. This is when we spoke with the manager. Overall, the whole place was understaffed and mismanaged. We saw throngs of people turned away but half the restaurant remained unseated. The server was constantly behind the bar trying to help the bartender catch up because they moved at a glacial pace. The chef was running food. The bus boy was seating tables. It was a mess.

Happy hour is definitely worth it, but thereafter the prices are high. What we did have food wise was very good, but portions are small, not really much to share.

Absolutely horrible experience… waited one hour at table after initial greet … waitress came back 3 times to try to remember what two drinks we ordered…. On third ask and still no drinks after an hour we left… waitress only had 3 other tables and a handheld tablet for orders…. No reason at all to not have drinks on table within an hour…. Will never return or recommend this restaurant at all

It took 45 minutes for my companion to receive her first drink when my specialty cocktail arrived to the table within 5 minutes and our food arrived within 15 minutes. The drink was nothing special, just an old fashioned. Our server, Amanda, asked no less than 4 times what was ordered when we would ask for the drink before we finally asked for a manager. At the end, our drinks were comped and when the manager came with the check there were items on it that we didn't order, as if it had been combined with another table. I suspect it was the table of 8 that we witnessed get up and walk out after 30 minutes without a single bar drink brought to their table. That was Amanda's section, too. She said she worked a double the day before but whatever she did to make up for it left her eyes glazed over and inflection a little too speedy, if you catch my drift. They comped the whole bill so I wasn't going to leave a review, but the more I think about it, the more ridiculous the entire situation was and I wouldn't recommend anyone go here. For a place called Bourbon and Boards, you'd think an old fashioned would be the least of their troubles.

What a nice surprise! They had great cocktails and the food was really good! We did the boards and tapas and even my 13 year old are his whole meal. I love the board idea and sharing.
