   Waitress was very busy and didn’t come back very often. Bus boy could not wait to take our food away at each course and pulled my shrimp cocktail as I was still eating it The chicken dish that we ordered was extremely salty and could not eat it. Not the best experience. We usually eat at Mastro’s and decided to come back to Bourbon And Bones again. Will go to Mastro’s next time.

   Honestly I was moderately let down. We were quickly sat upon arrival but asked if we could move to a booth and were told that there were none available due to other reservations that were coming in, which was fine we were very understanding. Our waitress was very sweet but was mildly inattentive as we were never checked on regarding our satisfaction with our meals. We had the oysters, calamari and onion soup to start which were all very good. We then had the salmon, bone in ribeye and the brussels and cheesy potatoes as sides. The ribeye was good and cooked perfectly, however the salmon was very underwhelming along with the sides. The salmon was just very boring and the spinach underneath was basically bathed in oil. The cheesy potatoes were way too soupy. Had our waitress stopped by to ask about the food we would’ve probably been able to have these problems addressed but she only came around when the plates were delivered and then at the end when we were finally ready for boxes and the check. Overall for over $300 I was disappointed in our experience and would definitely spend our money at other steakhouses that are in the scottsdale area.

   Great anniversary dinner! We sat on the patio and I was concerned it would be cool, but the heaters worked great. We started with Oysters Rockefeller and the Porkbelly. Then we split the bone in ribeye and added the flambé, which was not only fun, but added a delicious flavor. We really liked the unique salts they provide to add to your dish. We finished with the Chocolate cake. Perfect!

   Made reservations for 2 for Valentine’s Day dinner and when I arrived I was told we were “booked in the north lounge,” which was a separate building next to Cold Beer and Cheese Burgers. None of the pictures reflect this building. It had an entirely different atmosphere that was not what I was expecting and certainly not “fine dining;” more sit down happy hour feel. The building has plastic roll down window / walls, which expose diners to Scottsdale Rd traffic noise, and has overhead heaters which concentrate heat uncomfortably. The food and service were good; the gentleman who brought us our knives was very personable and the most memorable part of the night for me. Overall, only an okay experience, which is not what I expect for a $300+ dinner for 2.

   Overpriced for the experience you get. Also for Valentine’s Day it did not feel like they gave you enough attention and just wanted to churn out tables. You can find better steak elsewhere. Mine had little to no flavor and was undercooked in the center. The best part about the place is their bourbon selection.
