   Robert was an absolutely amazing server. He was EXTREMELY attentive and super nice. The food was genuinely the best food I’ve eaten in Arizona since having moved here and I’m extremely picky. I absolutely never do reviews but this place absolutely deserved it. They blew us away on our anniversary dinner.

   Food was fantastic as usual. Server was friendly but kind of inattentive. There was many times throughout dinner where comments were made of “would like more to drink” or “need the specialty salts” etc.

   We have ate at Bourbon & Bones multiple times, but this was our first bad experience. The petite filet mignon seemed smaller than 6 oz. and the pork chop was left way too pink inside and very fatty. We found out they changed where they got their pork from and that might have been the problem. The crab cakes were burnt and were overcooked. The sides were done perfectly. Service was the worst we’ve ever had with a waiter that barely acknowledged us, we had to bring up the extras we wanted for the steaks that we have always been asked about, and it was so loud with several diners literally yelling across the table to their party. We’ve never had it that loud before. Definitely left me very sad since we were there to celebrate my husband’s birthday and he loves going there usually. Overall, this experience changed how we normally feel about going there when we eat on average once a month there.

   Perfect evening. Food was excellent and service was top notch. Yes, it’s pricey. But, it was what you would expect, and hope for, in a high end restaurant.

   Service was incredibly slow which made for an unpleasant experience. Never received refills on any of our drinks and it took quite awhile to have our food packed up and check brought to us. The truffle fries left much to be desired and $7 for water is insane. We came to celebrate my husbands birthday, but left wishing we had gone somewhere else.

   Robby, our waiter, was excellent. However, lack of table attention by anyone else (clearing plates between courses, especially) was pronounced. Need way better service to ask those insane prices. Which brings us to that. This is not fine dining...this is burger joint, albeit prime, dining, needing more attention to detail by service folks. In other words, hire some help to help your excellent wait staff. There are the very same steaks elsewhere for way less with better service overall.

    We were looking for a fine dining experience for Thanksgiving and decided to try this newish restaurant close to our home. We had a reservation at 6:45 and were told at check in that they were behind “because guests stayed longer than expected”. Luckily there were plenty of seats at the bar where I ordered a glass of wine. 10 minutes later I was told that they were out of the wine I ordered so chose another. Finally seated at 7:20. I asked the hostess for a menu and was told our server will bring them. Another 5 min and a young man named River told us he would be helping our server. I asked for menus again so that we could order as soon as the server arrived and was told our server would bring them. 7:45 our waiter, never got his name, brings menus, saw we had drinks already and said he would be back. 8:00 he took our order, no appetizers, just dinner. He never asked if we wanted more to drink, didn’t explain the menu, seemed rushed and stressed, wasn’t friendly. 5 minutes later he returns to tell me that they are no longer serving baked potatoes so I chose mashed. 8:25 our food arrives. I had to ask what the different sauces were and after they placed everything I looked around for a steak knife and had to ask for some. Our filets came on white plates, that’s it, no garnish, just a piece of meat in the middle of large white dishes. Skeptical at first. The sides are a La carte and looked fine. The saving grace was that the food was delicious. The sauces flavorful, the meat was perfectly cooked, brussel sprouts tasty. The interior is beautiful, upscale, and the western theme subtle, not too noisy, lighting dimmed but adequate to see. We don’t mind paying the price for fine dining but the overall experience was disappointing.
