   The service was excellent. The food was outstanding. I had the salmon and my companion had the pork chop as entrees. We ate every bite. I highly recommend.

   Fantastic food and great service. The only issue we had was with the smoked old fashioned drinks we ordered. The bartender smoked an empty glass then tried to hold that over the old fashioned, which is not at all how you’re supposed to do that. The menu also indicated luxardo cherry and muddled orange, which it had neither. Not sure how they won a bourbon bar award when they don’t know how o make an old fashioned. Otherwise, the food and service were great.

   Bourbons Bistro has elements of fine dining but it’s not quite there yet. Nice location, older bones, good service. Great Bourbon selection. The food seemed to all be made from scratch. However, the steak wasn’t as flavorful as I would have expected. The fries were good. The Caesar salad was so good I ordered a 2nd. The building upgrades are in progress but not in full effect and the carpet/paint was dated IMO. I give this 3/5 stars. I would go back.

   Always a great experience. The staff is tremendous and Chef Jereme continues to create amazing dishes. A must dining and whiskey experience when in Louisville.
