   Our experience was mostly pleasant. We ordered cocktails, 3 appetizers, 2 mains, and one dessert. The food was all quite good. Service was attentive and friendly. Here are our issues: - One in our party had a gluten and dairy allergy. The server said we should be able to pick what we want, and the chef can modify the dishes. We ordered our food, and then he returned and said the 2 mains were cooked in butter, and my friend could eat a salad. For someone with dietary restrictions, getting told a salad at an upscale restaurant is insulting. We aren’t paying nearly $300 for a meal to eat a salad. Anyways, friend says her stomach will hurt but she will take the risk of eating butter. We eat our food, content. We next order dessert, the pavlova and ask for the Chantilly cream on the side for our dairy allergy friend. The server brings the dessert and the whipped cream is on the pavlova. He says this should be okay, since my friend ate the butter and that they couldn’t do cream on the side . Bold assumption in my opinion. Why couldn’t they do cream on the side? My two theories are either the server forgot to put in the request and didn’t want to tell the kitchen he forgot, OR the desserts aren’t made fresh and come frozen prepared. Either way- unimpressive. -Okay next qualm. Water was $8. Still water was $8. Admittedly, we asked for the first bottle, unknowingly. They brought us the second bottle and we didn’t ask for it. We were charged $16 for water. After tax and tip is added on that- that’s $20. For water. This is slimy and tacky for an upscale restaurant. This is the behavior that made me dock 2 stars and will ensure I don’t recommend this restaurant. - Last issue, the restaurant is in a corporate building, in a weird location. You have to walk through this building to get to it. And then they don’t even have restrooms in it- you have to go into the mall to use the restroom. I know not much of this is controllable by the restaurant, but notable for diners.
