   Our dinner at Bowdies was outstanding - every dish was so well prepared and tasty! We had the shrimp bisque which had large chunks of shrimp and was delicious. We also had the smoked duck ravioli appetizer, which was in a creamy sauce that was to die for. the bone in filet, the regular filet and the special lamb chops were superb. We also had the sides which are so good. The portions are large. The service was impeccable. The wine list is fabulous. A wonderful meal!

   The great reviews about Bowdie’s are spot on. It was our first visit and they really did not disappoint. Filets were among the best we’ve had, escargot were excellent, wedge salad better than Capital Grille, au gratin potatoes better than at an excellent restaurant I was recently at in Chicago. Blood orange sorbet was an excellent ending with very good coffee. Mushrooms were a little brown for my taste but still quite good. This was a celebratory dinner for my friend’s retirement and the staff were very acknowledging of this. Went out of their way to congratulate several times and even arranged to take delivery of flowers I had sent from a nearby florist and had them waiting in our booth when we arrived. And my friend’s sorbet was complimentary. It was a great evening and although not inexpensive by any means, still a very great value because the food & experience were all great. The sides are large and heed the advice that they are shareable. And the place was very busy the entire time; obviously it has a great reputation! Highly recommend!

   Food was amazing. They seated us at the tiniest table, and when I asked to be moved because the table was making me feel uncomfortable, one of the women who I approached LOUDLY spoke that it was not possible and that there is nothing that can be done. She did not have to be so incredibly loud and let the entire place know that I was asking for an accommodation. She then continued to speak loudly about the situation, making me even more uncomfortable. Other than that, the evening was lovely.

   This was the second time my boyfriend and I have been to Bowdies to have dinner and WOW. Both times we’ve been super impressed. Our steaks were done perfectly and we didn’t leave hungry that’s for sure. We were able to book our next dinner there for Valentine’s Day next year as well. Can’t wait for it!

   Everything was excellent. The food was outstanding, and our server, Keira, was exceptional. This is one of our favorite restaurants for good reason!
